BTW, you should promote CHUD more on these videos (at least at the end of the video for example)

Typically we have a few minutes devoted to spotlighting specific articles and content from the week, but we had an extremely limited timeframe this week.

In the future I'll be integrating more YouTube inter-linking into the workflow, so that you can click on video previews at the end of each piece to see others. It's just that this is such a one-man band, accelerated process kind of thing, that's it's tough to get any more elaborate.

And yeah, I genuinely dug Pirates (discussed at length in the thread) and while I've noticed three or four critics specifically talk about growing angrier with the film as they reviewed, I've experienced just the opposite. I don't think it's going to be an opinion that wins many fans though. Too bad Pirates 4 isn't worthy critically martyring oneself over.

This is a great idea, but yeah I understand it consumes more time. At the very least I was thinking of something simpler like a little chud.com overlay on the video or at the end of it. I say this because I was watching the video on facebook, just thinking it would be nice to more clearly point back to the site.

I enjoyed the intro/outro completely unironically. Because I'm hard like that.

Nice talkings on the films and the 3D too. The measured responses you guys deliver are a strong counterbalance to the wild and woolly hyperbole we love to sling about on the boards. I do so enjoy these little chats.

Hard to take the Pirates stuff seriously. It almost seems anti overall opinion on the boards for the sake of what exactly?

These movies especially Pirates 4 will not be remembered for anything remotely close to high quality blockbuster entertainment in the years to come. Curse of The Black Pearl was alright but it still had the albatross that these films have zero character interest. Knightley, Bloom and Depp are cardboard cutouts.

Depp took a weak role and made it his and thats what talented actors do. Rush ate scenery well and anyone who wasn't under its spell realized the film was some 20 to 30 minutes over what it should have been.

That said it was a breath of fresh air at the time because a Pirates film has never had that level of energy.

This franchise is very stale and devoid of any surprises. This movie is Taco Bell only its still the Double decker taco only with an ingredient added/removed.

I respect both of you just surprised at the reaction. Which obviously you are as well for a different reason.
