Very solid little thriller. There's nothing really new here except the fear of going blind, everything else being pilfered from Peeping Tom, Rear Window, The Eye and Minority Report , but it does what it does well. Little reliance on jump scares, nice building of tension, and a real understanding of how to shoot darkness, even if it does have one subplot too many.
Also, as far as Del Toro's producing effort go, much better than The Orphanage.
