Why he wants to do a Darkchylde movie. Oh, and if he has any plans in the future to tackle a Western.

-When will he do a commentary for ESCAPE FROM LA?

-Any plans to do another movie with Kurt?

-Why didn't that PRISON BREAK movie with Nic Cage work out?

5 game suspension for Andrew Bynum. Too tough? Or not tough enough?

Independent horror is huge at the moment, a  culture which you contributed greatly to. What do you feel a horror film, particularly an independent one, has to have to truly frighten people and stack up to the Hollywood heavyweights? Also, because all of us are dying to ask you, what makes The Thing one of the best movies ever? :)

What are his favorite horror films from the last ten years.

Any chance at a Prince of Darkness sequel?

Brian Shaw- worthy successor to Phil Jackson?

Also, since everyone wants to remake his movies - would HE ever want to remake one of his own movies?

Is there anything you can specifically name that for you, has been the least attractive development in Hollywood in the past fifteen years?

What was and is your relationship with Dean Cundey and is it possible that you two would ever find the time to work together again?

Your son, Cody Carpenter, has a few composing credits to his name, is he at all interested in writing or directing?

You've expressed an appreciation of Lovecraft over the years, and his influence shows up in The Fog, In The Mouth of Madness, and Prince of Darkness, but is it fair to say that Michael Myers, The Shape, this unexplainable force of evil, also reflects Lovecraft's influence?

Finally, boning Adrienne Barbeau in her prime...as awesome as we would imagine?

Seriously. He's injected so many of his flicks with Western elements and themes and he's interviewed in so many classic Western dvd special features. Just make one dammit!

How bout another team-up with Kurt? A Western with Kurt???

It's well-known that you love videogames and contributed to FEAR 3. Would you be interested in a movie adaptation of said game, or any other title?

Have you actually watched any of the remakes to your films, and if so, which did you enjoy the most?

What was it about The Ward that got him interested in stepping back behind the camera? (Not counting getting to stare at Amber Heard everyday.)

As a massive fan of John Carpenter commentary tracks, particularly the ones he did with Kurt Russell, I have to wonder why he stopped doing them for his home video releases.  I assume it is because the US releases of several of his titles didn't include the tracks he recorded (and damn me for not having a multi-region player).  Would he ever be interested in recording a commentary track and releasing it on iTunes?  I think several Carpenter buffs would pay a buck or two to listen to him talk about the making of some of those other films.

I'd like to know if there's a chance of "Starman" receiving better DVD treatment someday. Some decent special features like interviews with cast and crew and improved formatting/picture quality would be ideal. Instead, the current release is a bare bones full screen pan & scan disappointment. I truly believe "Starman" is Carpenter's second best movie after "Halloween" and it deserves better.

There is an anamorphic  widescreen region 2 edition with a commentary track from Carpenter and Bridges, which along with the EPK shot on set.  They didn't make it to the US, even on the blu ray.:

The question here should have been why Kurt didn't call him when Tombstone lost its director.
