Both 13 Assassins and Western Sukiyaki Djanjo showed a Miike energised in a way I hadn't seen since 2004, so I'm hyper excited for this. I was kind of dissapointed how flat Miike's films got towards the later part of the aughts.

I will watch the fuck out of this movie. If Ichi the Killer's Kakihara doesn't make a cameo in this however, I will cry.

There is no way this wont be a blast; Miike's "lighter" films are fantastic, and there's no doubt he will nail the charm and crazyness of the series characters and its humor.

Now, who will get the role of Franziska Von Karma? Because if anyone can make the image of a whip wielding prosecutor work onscreen, its Miike.

   Very interesting. And if you haven't seen "13 Assassins", please do so soon. If its not playing at your art house,  give Video on Demand a shot, and make sure you have a big screen.
