Diesel takes to Facebook to help make his financial and creative decision!

I watched the directors cut of Chronicles of Riddick a couple of weeks back and despite the fact that its got major structural problems and the Necromongers are quite shitty, I quite enjoyed the film. I would be up for a sequel for sure and the news that its going to be more along the lines of Pitch Black rather than the overblown first part in a trilogy that never happened, is a good thing.

What would be cool would be seeing Riddick in a Escape from NY type of scenario where he is hired despite his many issues to go on a suicide mission and rescue someopne of importance. I never played the two console games they released featuring the character over the last few years but from what I understand they went down similar avenues.

So anyway, Yeah Vin sign up!! Wasn't he supposed to be doing a XXX3 as well?

Am I the only one that thinks there's something about Diesel's career that suggests people... don't want to hire him? Shouldn't he have more post-Fast And Furious irons in the fire beyond his own nerdy pet project and that kiddie "Machine" movie he was offered the other day? His absence in non-Fast And Furious movies strikes me as conspicuous.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Riddick movie.

I'll be honest and say I LOVE COR. I know there are issues with it but I love that went with a giant space opera. I just never understood where the Necromongers came from. Nonetheless, I'll be in line for a new one.

*yawn* Diesel is getting too long in the tooth to be playing around. Chronicles of Riddick was such a strange case of a film. Pitch was small and terrific while COR was bloated and a mess. I think the directors cut of that film is worse than the theatrical and I usually always like directors cuts or extended cuts for that matter.

The necromongers were terrible as was the furian prophecy stuff. I kind of liked the ending (Conan like) but I don't see a lot of potential here.

That said i'm more interested in this installment than the next Fast film.

Bring it, I say. I'm mixed on CoR(but I do prefer the director's cut) but love the hell out of Pitch Black and still think this is Diesel's best character. A leaner/meaner film would be most welcomed, and Twohy should always be making movies.

Thanks for reminding me I still need to see Find Me Guilty.

Thats an interesting point, didnt he start out as a director as well? could be he is 'difficult' if he has his own opinions on what a movie should be. Could be why Babylon AD ended up such a disaster

Louis CK tells a story about him:

Don't know if it explains the lack of meaningful work, but it's pretty interesting - more about CK coming to some realizations about himself of course.
