Payne and Clooney? Did someone order a big slice of awesome?

Another piece of news I can't believe I forgot until now.

Where has Payne *been*? Maybe this finally gets Forster that elusive awards run.

Guess I'll give up my dreams of Clooney ever doing an all-out action film. Closest he's come is PEACEMAKER, which I love, but hardly qualifies as an action film.

This looks pretty great, though.

I consider FROM DUSK TIL DAWN pretty much an action film, at least the second half.

Out of Sight is a caper film. Close enough?

Well, It's no Time Desk: The Adventures of Dean Dangerous...

I frankly, and inexcusably, keep forgetting about DUSK. I'm thinking of something more along the lines of MAN ON FIRE or even PAYBACK (yes, I like the original cut!). Just something where Clooney can display his inner badass.

OUT OF SIGHT is a top 5 film for me, but he really doesn't let it off the chain in it; one smackdown with a phonebook and some frenzied and frightened pistol shooting doesn't count. Not for me, at least.

What about Batman? Isn't that an action film?

Not in my book. Unless the film causing projectile vomiting counts as action.

Pretty shitty that the one movie Clooney's in that's considered action is an atrocity, but man, has it ever provided me with laughs.

Is Robert Forester playing his father? If so, that's goddamn inspired. They really favor each other, and that didn't dawn on me until watching this preview.

This is going to be an event for me. I love Payneful movies.
