If I may add to your list, I would also recommend:

Kakashi: Not going to be for everyone, but I loved the atmosphere

Kairo: A bit confusing at times, but extremely creepy

The Eye: This is not a Sixth Sense clone damn it...this one actually has some very good creepy parts. Admittedly, the ending sucks, but overall I love it.

Uzumaki: Not really "horror" by my definition, but FUN FUN FUN!!

Versus: How can you go wrong when you have samurai, yakuza, guns, swords and Zombies. Correction...zombies with guns!! A little slow at first, but once the zombies show up it is a really fun ride. More of an action movie than horror, but a must see none the less. Some really nice eye candy for the ladies too. *drools*

Happiness of the Katakuris: Miike, Miike, Miike! Wonderful black comedy...chop 'em up musical. (It even has a zombie dance number!!)

The original Ju-on: Christ this movie is creepy as hell. There are really good fan-subbed all region dvds available on eBay. I love this movie.

Dark Water: It has great atmosphere and tension. Wonderful horror movie (although it could do without the epilogue at the end).

I agree with you wholeheartedly about Suicide Circle ("Ichi, ni, san" *SPLAT* Gotta love it!!)and Ju-on: The Grudge (MUST see). Nang Nak I found to be a wee bit boring, but I'll give it another try. I haven't seen New Blood or Sorum...I'll have to check them out.

As for the Hollywood remake: YAWN!
