White Collar Season 3 - Page 2

When Neal was reciting that Shakespearean sonnet, I thought, 'Yeah, I'd hit that.' A really fun episode, had me grinning from ear to ear. Dylan Baker needs more work.

Bommer makes me feel so conflicted. The fucker is uncomfortably good looking. Burton, too. When they're together I can't help but feel like I'm less evolved than them. Hamm and Jones made me feel that way on Mad Men, too.

I really thought the ink on the suit after pulling the fire alarm was going to bust Peter, I guess not. At least we got to see Neal revel in Peter's naughtiness.

Oh my dear dear God, if that man was my teacher, I'd be on his desk spread-eagled after school DAILY.  Oh shit, he is soooo fuckable.

And now Alseid from True Blood is going to be on there next week? Are they trying to get every woman in America to leave their boyfriends or something? Not fair, USA. Not fair.

I guess doing a rubbing in a strip club really is it's own punchline.  Nice.

And Kudos to Tiffany's figure. She  looked nice in her detective coat and little else. Good for Peter.

I've been meaning to say this, but I keep forgetting until now: Peter and Elizabeth have no children.  I wonder if it's by choice or due to infertility or something.  It's never been addressed why they don't have kids.  Either way, it's nice to see a childless, happy couple on television.  I'm tired of happily ever after automatically including a screaming brat who shits all over the house.

Especially considering Thiessen was actually pregnant last season it seems that are making it a point for Peter and Mr.s Suit (sorry, that's her name for me) not having children.

They have Satchmo! That's like having a way more obedient, won't get drunk and wreck the car at 16 child than any actual child could be. I'm sure it's a by choice thing, they're both working professionals and lord knows Peter doesn't have a lot of time, it's easier for both of them to not have kids. Besides, they have Neal and Mozzie, almost close enough.

A fun episode. I love it when Elizabeth gets more of a prominent role, Thiessen is often times irresistible.

Mozzie always struck me more as a Settlers of Catan person, but I'll buy Risk, too...

It's been bugging me all last week and I'd love it if you guys could confirm. Does Marsha Thomason look a lot like a young Pam Grier to any of you?

I see it, yes.

I think Satchmo in the sweater is vying for sexiest of the week.

Ah Kool Moe Dee! I go to Burke.

Beyond awesome.

Is the show trying to dissuade the youth of America from engaging in a life of high class, white collar crime? Because it is utterly failing. I want to be a thief who wears 5000 dollar watches and gets a box at Yankee Stadium.

News to me that the "youth" of America would even be watching... White Collar's mild, but undeniable, charms, would seem to be right across the sweet spot of the older viewing demographic.

Sexy, charming leading man=young people watch this show.

Well that was an excellent season finale, beautifully shot and will definitely keep the audience excited for the new season.

Kind of iffy on the revelation that Neil's father turning out to be a dirty cop was what ultimately led to his life of crime.

Liked Peter almost acknowledging that his jumping to accusing Neil of stealing the treasure was what led Neil further into iffy behaviour in his 'if we treat him like a criminal he'll act like one' speech.

Excellent season finale. It's just the shake up that the show needs to keep it from getting stale. Peter's on the run again, I dig it. And god damn, did New York look like a painting, you're right, excellently shot show. One of the finest looking shows on television.

Almost thought Peter was going to go 'No, Neal doesn't deserve to be free.' to keep him in NYC. Surprised and glad at the direction they ended up going.

I enjoyed it but this seems very similar to the formula they have used the entire series. Each season starts with, "we cant trust Neal", slowly moves into, "we CAN trust Neal", and eventually ends back in, "we cant trust Neal" again. I would have thought it would be a greater change of pace to see him freed and still working with Peter, while trying to construct a new life for himself, all the while being tempted by his old life and associates. This ending makes me feel like they just dont want to change the distrustful friends dynamic that's worked well so far. Ill certainly stick with it through to next season, it's still a fun show, but I think Id be looking forward to it more if it had gone the other way.

No, Peter knew exactly what Neal would do when he signaled him to leave. He made a choice that whatever may happen he wasn't going to let Neal get fucked over by Campbell.

I assumed him shaking his head no meant that he was trying to tell him not to run again but it'd make alot more sense your way so you're probably right.

Funny thing, I said the same thing to my wife just before the horribly stagy-looking scene in his old guardian (foster mom?)'s home. But otherwise, a visual treat.

My only real reservation about the ending is that I fear that Neal and Peter's reunion will wind up feeling too neat and easy: they can't keep them apart very long (nor would we want them to).

Good finale, but it's not much of a massive OMG moment to me because I have zero doubt that Neil will be back.  If this was the series finale, it would be another story.
