Shadows of the Damned

This one totally snuck under the radar for me. It's a Resident Evil like game (the newer ones) and is produced by one of the main guys behind the RE series, Shinji Mikami. Storywise you're a demon hunter who goes to hell to save the love of your life, with a floating skull as your companion (who apparently morphs into whatever is needed, torch, gun). If you've playing RE4 or RE5 it looks to play almost exactly like that except for the fact that you can move and shoot.

It comes out June 21st so it's right around the corner, looking at it though, it doesn't look like it has any co-op which kind of sucks but isn't a decision killer for me.

I didn't get Vanquish because I have a huge fucking backlog of games that I need to get to, but I fear that Mikami returning to a horror themed game along with Silent hill genius Akira Yamaoka on sound/music will be too much for me to resist. From the previews it looks kind of like RE4 (which everyone loved) meets Shadow Man (which I alone loved), with a sense of humour. Could be something special.

These are all very nice things.

Enlarge your Johnson trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uc8GmdZ1Z4&feature=player_embedded

I can't believe it's an official trailer for the game, I'm sold.

The launch trailer- http://www.chud.com/57719/the-shadows-of-the-damned-spread-tomorrow/

Nearly through the game, really loving it. Lot of nice variety, fun levels, twisted visuals.

Never said it but it's great to have you back Alex. Is this is a day 1 buy?

This game is the bees knees. I'm on Chapter 5 right now, and I've loved just about every second so far. The way the gameplay expands on itself every level is really fantastic. I dont think ive been bored yet. Plus, Evil Dead, Aliens and Ghostbusters references! Every Chewer gamer should give this a shot.

Not just and Evil Dead reference, but a whole level.

This game really isn't getting the attention it deserves.

The Evil Dead level is awesome, and singlehandedly makes up for all those mediocre official ED games. Mikami continues to marry great gameplay with brilliant genre film homage, just like RE4. Loving this game.

Still kinda at the beginning of the game but am having a blast, Garcia "Fucking" Hotspurt is quickly becoming one of my favorite protagonists ever.

Haha, I love Hotspur "reading" one of the stories, listening to his pronunciations and also love the fact that he'll always chuckle and comment about the story when I do the same thing. This game is glorious and more people should be playing it.

Game is giving off huge Hellboy vibes (which isn't a bad thing); giant massive gun, talky sidekick, and just all out crazy to be seen. Just started this morning and couldn't stop, a couple of acts into it so far. Controls are so responsive - not even near finished with the game but I want them working a sequel already.
