Hit the nail on the head with PREDATORS. Completely forgettable, if it wasn't directly aping the superior original.

I hold out hope for a really strong new Predator film someday.  There are countless possibilities for that franchise.  We just need a visionary filmmaker to get a crack at it someday.

 

As for Carrey?  I can see doing a Dumb & Dumber follow-up..........................................but Bruce Almighty?  Not so much.  Sure it was popular, but I would think Ace Ventura would be a far larger draw for his older audience.  Anytime I hear people listing their favorite Carrey films, it's always one of the following:  Ace Ventura, Ace Ventura II, Dumb & Dumber, or Liar Liar.  After that, the discussion always splits over whether they find his more recent efforts decent or forgettable.
