THE HANGOVER 3: ZACH GALIFIANAFUCK COMPLAINS ABOUT FAME FROM ROLLING STONES COVER

...and drops a quick mention of what could be the Hangover III story.

Renn (or anyone else), can you direct me to some of his best stand-up? I'm not trying to be snide or contrarian in saying that I haven't seen anything in which I found the guy to be funny. But maybe all the stuff I've seen has been too mainstream.

If he's got a solid special on Netflix or something, give me a head's up. I really do want to see what all the hype is about.

If that doesn't do it, then we're just not destined to laugh at the same things my friend.

Also, his brief appearances in the Comedians of Comedy- specifically the chair bit (which he's recalled a few times in B2F's).

His stand up and his film roles couldn't be further apart, really. Don't let that deter you.

Also, I stand by the assertion that good comedy could possibly be mined from ditching the flash-back/mystery solving structure and just follow them through the debauchery this time around. It allows you to still have a "Hangover" movie in theme, but will force them to stretch their acting muscles since they can't just play, "hey, wha happened?" for the 50th fucking time.

His quote about trying to get fired from Tru Calling is equal parts mean and pants-pissing hilarious.

I was OK with them recycling the structure of The Hangover.  It's the fact that they made such an unfunny, stale version of it that made me hate it so much.  But mixing it up in a third movie might make me willing to risk another joyless time at the 'plex.

You don't even like the Between Two Ferns videos DT?

Some of the Between Two Ferns videos are funny, but usually because of the "guests".

I watched Live at the Purple Onion when I got home from the office, and it didn't really do it for me, guys. I just don't dig his schtick -- humor through discomfort and awkwardness hasn't ever really worked for me. I hate Tim and Eric and things of that ilk for the same reason.

His one-liners are weak, and the piano/instrument thing has been done a million times. He relies on his "persona" for laughs, rather than solid writing and comedic timing, and I just find it dull.

Thanks for trying, though!

Maybe they would just shrug it off this time, despite things ending up far more ludicrous(which would have normally been the beginning). Which could be funny if done well.
