If you're looking to meander in a big crowd of other nerds this weekend, have I got an ARG event for you...

I have worn a Green Lantern ring for ten years as a piece of daily jewelry, a much nicer one from Ebay than the crap that abounds on there now, and I wish I was more excited for this film.

As it stands I will be there opening weekend, probably not a midnight showing unless I can arrange childcare, but Reynolds just kills almost all my excitement.  The voice casting of Michael Clarke Duncan just does not fit Kilowog at all in my opinion.  Maybe if he says "Poozer" in the film it will change that.  Mark Strong in make-up seems to lack the startled desperation I recall from Emerald Dawn Sinestro.

And last but not least; the last time a major comic book villain/entity was turned into a giant space storm it didn't go too well.  I don't get the gist that an energy demon will fare much better substantially or with audiences.

Damn.  I've gone all fanboy haven't I?

The animated DVD got Michael Madsen as Kilowog and Jason Isaacs as Sinestro. Advantage: animation.

I was going to say you might want to keep this info to yourself, but since everyone who meets you will see the ring, NM.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I'm an unapologetic Green Lantern geek.  At least I haven't done this yet.

Fleed, I expect... better of you.  A good GL fan knows... the ring is worn so that ... the wearer can give... the middle finger.. to Evil!

TzuDohNihm, You're right I should have known what finger a Green Lantern wears his ring!
