Well hello there. I don't know if it's socially acceptable to post a new topic on a message board introducing myself, but I'm doing it anyway. Plus I'm special, because I've noticed that I'm member #6660. Member 666 on a horror message board...I'm, like, the chosen one. WORSHIP ME NOW

Uhh...anyway..hi. I'm Mike. I live in Canada. We didn't cause your friggin power outage so stop blaming us...and you freaky people are supposed to like the dark anyway.

Sorry, I'm prone to rants.

So I'm Mike, aka Phronk. I like horror movies. I'm not a true horror fan, though, since I haven't seen TCM yet (although I am cool enough to use the acronym). But hey, I'm working on it.
I guess that's all you need to know about me. Sorry for annoying you...but get used to it. I plan on making it to my 666th post someday.

Nice to meet you Mike and welcome to the boards. (heh...now I feel like less of a newbie...go me!! ) Damn, if only I had waited a couple of days to register, I could have been the Chosen One. I'm not sure if you are going to get your hand slapped or not for this topic, but I'm sure they won't leave any permanent scars. wink

So, how are things in the Land of Eternal Frost? Good to see you guys aren't in the dark anymore.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy your stay, most of the time we're a pretty good group and if not, we're very good at hiding the bodies. ;-)

Welcome, welcome. Oddly enough the Creature Corner-ites, a subset of Sewer Chewers, are the best behaved bunch. Have a good time, be a good boy, and don't turn your back on anyone who has an implement of destruction in their username.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I promise that I will avoid the use of "peace out" from now on. As for FvsJ, I'm ashamed to say that I haven't seen it yet. On Friday I made the startling discovery that movie projectors don't work without electricity. But if I can convince my girlfriend to come with me, I'll surely be seeing it tonight.

Bah! Everybody knows Jason is the man.

Welcome Fellow Hellian... eh... Canadian.

It is customary that you do 3 things when you arrive here at the corner.

1) You must tell a dead baby foetus joke.
2) You must offer a part of your body to Dagon God of the Sea.
3) You must agree that Jason Vs Freddy is a very good movie and that TCM stank like vile Englishmen arse.

Damn you regulars! Trying to make me choose between Freddy and Jason. But if I had to choose, I guess I'd pick Freddy. That could only be because I just recently watched the entire Nightmare collection, but haven't seen any Friday the 13th movies in a few years.

I will now comply with Hellspawn's requests in order to fit in with you freaky quasi-nerds and raise my self-esteem:

1) What's better than 10 dead babies in a trash can? One dead baby in 10 trash cans!

2) Unfortunately I'm not near the sea...but the Thames river here does have a large toxic black blob in it that may or may not be an evil river god. Unfortunately I've never seen hot naked half-fish chicks worshipping it, but I'm keeping my hopes up. (it really does have a blob though...I don't think anyone knows where it came from...sometimes truth is scarier than fiction)

3) Jason vs. Freddy? Never heard of it...is it new? Oh, but to change the topic for a second, did anyone hear that Freddy vs. Jason was #1 at the box office over the weekend?? Rock on!
