Recent reminders of Megan Fox's thumbs and Val Kilmer's elbow planted the seeds of this one. Seeing pics of Denzel's pinky cemented it.

I was not aware that Halle Berry and Kate Hudson had 6th toes on one of their feet, Tilda Swinton and Mark Wahlberg have third nipples, Gemma Arterton was born with 12 fingers, etc.

Apparently Dan Akyroyd has webbed toes and eyes of 2 different colors!

With all due respect, this is a very creepy thread.

Certainly a high creepy factor, but it does make you wonder if shit like that gives these people the extra drive required to succeed in their careers or the extra layer of skin to weather the knock-backs.

Always interesting to note how many actors have the tell-tale upper-lip scar of a repaired cleft palette when the camera gets in really close.

Denzel's pinky freaks me right the fuck out.

Shouldn't these groovy mutations be in the X-Men First Class thread?

I started looking at actor's hands more closely in movies after learning of Megan Fox's toe thumb.  It's kind of interesting what actors you tend to see with hand-close-ups and ones who evade them.

I don't get Vince Vaughn's thumb.

A friend/mentor of mine once told me that the dyslexia he had in his youth drove him to study his passions that much harder.  When it comes to storytelling and screenwriting, he's one of the funniest and most intelligent people I know.

I'm amazed the LeBron sixth toe talk hasn't been mentioned much less than inspiring the thread.

That's another one that comes up a lot. Tom Cruise comes to mind.

Denzel's finger is a classic football injury. That joint must have been royally smashed.

I kinda want to see Fox and Vaughn in a romantic comedy where, during a heavy make-out scene, they both have to sensuously kiss and suck each other's funky thumbs. Just totally sell the sick factor, but you know, soldier through it coz they love each other.

I am now insanely curious about the tri thumbed bollywood actor.  Do they move in unison?  Does it affect the dexterity of that hand?  I wish I knew his name so I could spend some quality time researching him.

Heh, that will teach me to just look at the "pretty" pictures.  thanks, now I can properly pry into his personal traumas.

Over there, it's probably considered some kind of blessing from on high. He certainly isn't shy about it.

What about Jimmy "Scotty" Doohan's shot off finger from D-Day?

Bruce Lee's left leg was shorter than his right, which is why he was always leading with the right and why he favoured certain types of kick.

Staying with action movies, some fun with google:

"Stallone" and "forceps birth"

"Van Damme" and "forehead bump"

"Seagal" and "unique physiological reaction"

Bruce Lean

Yeah, JCVD's forehead golfball is a fave of mine. I'm waiting it to sprout a face.

Someone could take this opportunity to post a picture of Al Pacino's hideous hand fungus.

The man has horrible fingernails.

Hahahah!  I think it was Insomnia that I first noticed Pacino's fingernails.  And then there's Mickey Rourke's bulbous goblin/orc/monster fingernails.  They all look like big-toenails.

Me too.

Now that I think about it, maybe it was deliberate. Maybe his fingernails are normally fine but the character in that movie was supposed to have fungus or advanced psoriasis.

Gemma Arterton had a deformity involving *extra fingers*. I get completely freaked out by her in QOS now

Also, in HEAT Val Kilmer has this bulbous mass protruding from his elbow. It is never addressed in HEAT as something particular to the character, but I've never noticed it in any other film. Wish I could find a screen grab of it.

Here we go:

ETA: Also found this via Google which is just someone's post on a message board:

Quote:
Val Kilmer on The Elbow:

"Of course he (Morrison) only had to jump off a stage once and I had to do it fifteen times in an afternoon. That's where I got this. (lump that looks like golf ball implanted under the skin of his left elbow). I said, 'If this is boring, I'm going to jump.' And it was boring so I jumped. And then this guy who was supposed to catch me jumped out of the way. It's a tall stage there."

But can that be right? The Doors came out in 1991 and Heat in 1995!

That's bursitis, and if it's that bad for that long, Val should have had surgery to remove the bursa sac. Does he still have it?

He wasn't a movie star, but wrestler Kerry Von Erich (aka the Texas Tornado in the WWF/E) had a prosthetic foot since the mid 80s.  I think it was his right.  I believe the story was he lost it in a motorcycle accident, and to hide if from folks, he would even shower after a show with his boots on.  No one really knew about it until after he died.

No one has mentioned Daryl Hannah? Her missing index finger in Kill Bill wasn't a movie effect. She lost it when she was three in a farming accident.
