Jack Kirby's ghost! That's perfect!

God that's wonderful.  I'm so thankful they went practical with his makeup.

This looks really good. Holy shit good. I'm ready for more Thor/First Class style surprises.

Man that really does look cool as hell. I'm expecting The Red Skull to be the best villain of the year.

Pretty sure that's the most elaborate makeup Hugo Weaving has worn since that one road movie...

Looks fantastic. Another person very glad they went practical for the makeup.

Here's hoping this doesn't join the "merely OK to almost bad" pile of comic-based films released this year.

The headlne made me think James Franco has taken Weaving's place at the last minute.

A-fucking-plus!  I have no doubt that Weaving will knock this out of the park.

I am quite honestly desperate to see how he looks in motion. That's the only reservation I have. I too think Weaving will own this role.

This could/should be the best Indiana Jones film we've had in years!

Phenomenal! The more I see of this movie the more that I'm convinced that it's going to be the superhero movie to beat this summer, and maybe the summer blockbuster to beat as well. Really glad they went practical, the detail looks just outstanding.

If only it wasn't being directed by a guy who hasn't made a good film in, what, 20 years?

THE WOLFMAN was good. It was! Shut up!

JP3 had its moments, too.

I guess that's some agree to disagree stuff because I watched the Wolfman a couple of weeks back and Jesus was it bad! Weirdly enough, the only thing that did work for me was the makeup.

JP3 wasn't horrible, but not particularly great either.

I'm not saying that CAPTAIN AMERICA will definitely suck, I just put more stock in a director's resume than I do in trailers and promotional material.

Not to derail, Evi, but which cut?  Because I really enjoyed the director's cut... then again, I love werewolf movies (so the bar is pretty low).

To rerail, um, YAY, makeup!

Both cuts of WOLFMAN were pretty much hot, broken messes, but very little of that was Johnston's fault. I think he pulled out some pretty great moments from a fractured screenplay and studio interference.

I remain hopeful CAPTAIN will be the solidly fun time we're all hoping it is.

I've only seen the theatrical cut. Maybe I need to check out the director's

Is it all practical? Looks like it around the forehead, then the face looks kind of CGI-y to me. Looks great, regardless.

I'm not going to say don't, because you may actually like it, but I don't think it fundamentally changed anything. A few more character-centered scenes, but also some contradictions due to the editing and script changes. Take a look in the film's post-release thread for reactions to the DC.

I am weirded out by the fact there's an argument Joe Johnston's last passable movie wasn't October Sky (and before that, Rocketeer).

Does anyone know if Hugo Weaving is signed for multiple movies?

Looks fairly practical and nothing egregiously unattainable physically.  Except for the missing parts of the nose I imagine.

This!  Between the Asgard set designs in Thor and going full-on practical for Red Skull in Captain America, it seems there are more Masters of the Universe fans in the world than I thought.  This is a good thing.

I can't wait to see and fully hear Weaving in the role!

Red Skull looks amazing, and even better by the fact that Hugo Weaving is the actor behind the mask. It's way better than a CGI cloud of yellow energy as villain.

The film has screened and early word is that it is great.

YES!!! It seems like this is the summer movie people are waiting for. If it's great, it's gonna be HUGE.
