THE EMMY CAMPAIGN FOR MICHAEL FUCKING ROOKER

The greatest awards campaign of all time? It might be.

Brilliant. I think Rooker deserves all the Emmys, regardless of category.

I agree! And I expect chewers to mobilize and get this out there. Too amazing not to be seen.

"and lastly, I just want to say I wouldn't be here without the encouragement of my friends."

[cut to Tom Towles crying]

The Rook definitely deserves some of that sweet recognition. Although I have a feeling he's the kind of pro who doesn't give a shit either way.

Re that hugeass emmy nomination ballot thing, I've never seen all the possible names for a big award show listed like that. The fact that guys like Bruce Campbell and LL Cool J (hilarious pic, looks like he just found out what the bad guy's weakness is) could potentially win a prestigious acting award puts a grin on my face.

The thing is, Michael Rooker has already forgotten he was on this show. We know he needs the award though, and that's all that matters.

Rooker is fucking great. The competition is legitimately tough though. Some great supporting performances on TV this year. Btw, do these "for your consideration..." adverts really work?

Haha, I can believe that. Listening to him on Doug Loves Movies a few weeks back I'm convinced he's forgotten pretty much everything he's ever done.

Love this. Still think this one is my favorite campaign, though-

Honestly? As much as I love Rooker, he wasn't that good in this. He could play this role in his sleep.

It's true Merle was mostly phoned in, but the scene where he's cuffed up on the roof and the zombies are trying to get in, and he swings from pleading with God to cursing God... that's primo Rooker.

Besides, I don't think we should look at this awards campaign as just being for his role in The Walking Dead. Think of it more as tacit praise for his whole body of work. And for being awesome in general.
