Great line, but without question this episode had the best moment in True Blood history...when Eric tore the heart out of Marnie's bearded follower, then stared at her while he sucked the blood out as if it were a juice box.

This show has been a terrible guilty pleasure for quite some time, but damn I laughed hard during that scene.

Little Red Riding Jessica is my new fave halloween character.

only watched the last 10 but I hope tara stays dead.  Worst character on the show.

True Blood, the show I never thought had the balls to really off a regular, just went Reservoir Dogs on the cast.  Yikes.

Ding dong, the bug-eyed bitch is dead!

I told my wife that the writers must feel they can write anything for this show -- vamps, witches, demons, fairies, werewolves, shapeshifters, and the new one, E.T., the glowing-fingered, sexed-up wood fairy.

I still enjoy the show -- I'm simply reveling in the sheer goddamn ridiculousness of it all. I suppose a number of people will be happy with the events of tonight's episode.

Wow.  RIP Jesus, Tommy, Tara, Marnie, Debbie, and Flanagan.  What a bloodbath of regulars.

And we got the return of Rene (ghost form), Reverend McDonald (now a vampire), and RUSSEL MOTHERFUCKING EDGINGTON!!!!

That was a nice set-up for next season.  Also looks like we're gonna get some bad ju-ju coming from Terry's past, if Rene is to be believed.  Sam squares off with a random werewolf (wonder who that could be?).  Andy banged a fairy, so I'm sure that's going to have some repercussions in a big way.  There's a hit out on Bill and Eric now from the vampire leadership.  LaFayette can channel the dead, and I'm sure some of that demon magic has stayed with him.  Arlene's baby is still evil.  Jason and Jessica are now in a strange relationship, with a violent Hoyte on the fringes of it.

This was a fun, crazy season.  I'm sure the next one will be even more ridiculous and over the top.

That was intense!

I was really really hoping Jesus wouldn't die, he was so good for Lafayette. I guess happy stable relationships aren't really conducive to this kind of show though.

I can't believe it's over already! I want more. Now where will I get my gory sexy guilty pleasure fix?

No way Tara is dead. Well, maybe undead. Tara as vamp? Something....

Good to see the return of some previous villains.

Sookie, Bill, Eric break-up scene was awful.

I will miss Jesus. Guy was great on the show.

I will miss Debbie.

Tara took a shotgun blast to the head.  How is she not dead?

Guess we'll find out next summer.

Tara's dead but Lafayette can talk to the dead so she will unfortunately stick around for sure. Jesus went just as I was starting to like his character.

She strung that scene out in a manner that would have made Bella Swan proud.  "I looooooove you...SIKE!"

Haha.

Reminds me - Pam's scene was my favorite, I think. Sometimes I wish for the Lafayette and Pam only show.

Also, remember when Jason got RPG'd? Just saying...I'd be pretty surprised if she was dead.

I was honestly surprised that Pam allowed Ginger to hold her while she cried.

I think Ginger was surprised too! The look on her face said she knew she was taking a risk, but I assume she's been with her long enough to be able to read her somewhat.

It's almost sweet to see how cut up Pam is about Eric. Plus her little rant about being left by a person named Sookie was pretty hilarious.

Cleaning house in this last show.... glad to see that Russel is back, he was the best bad guy on the show, and you know he's got some major scores to settle next season.

Jessica finally showed some skin this episode, that surprised me.  Can't get over how awesome that Little Red Riding Hood costume was... WOW

Calling it now: Pam teams up with Russell.

I'm pretty sure you're both right. An interesting season awaits us.

She may be a ghost but she won't take up much of the show now so it's WIN-WIN for everyone.

Jessica in a Red Riding Hood outfit and being out of the outfit was pretty darn neat. biggrin.gif

I was surprised that Jessica finally got her tits out.  I was under the impression that she had somehow lucked out and gotten a no-nudity clause in her contract.  From a character standpoint, the shock of finally seeing her naked worked perfectly.  She's gone from this naive teenager to a full-blown woman getting her brains fucked out on a couch.

Loved that she kept the cape on, too.  Kinky.

Yeah I was surprised to see Jessica like that. I figured she was going to be the one character that everyone wanted to see but would never get the chance to. Loved her outfit and how into the scene she got.

I'm really glad that Russell is back. I really liked his character and its good to have a super bad guy come back to the show.

And I'm sure I'm not the only person that is glad Tara is dead. Easily the most annoying character in the show.

Did she? I recall hand coverage.

Sad hand coverage.

she has her right one covered, but the left one was out and proud.  It's a blink and you miss it moment, but still nice.

All her other sex scenes just felt off, I mean every other girl on the show is always nude during sex scenes, but she keeps her bra on?  Just always felt off.  Maybe Anna talked to her, lol....

Lemme tell ya, I was watching with about ten people at a friend's place, and when her head got shot off, we ALL cheered and high-fived.  Good riddance.

The real shock moment for me was when Sookie pulled the trigger on Alcide's girl.  I did NOT expect them to let her go that route.

Maybe Wiccan Waitress chick can mojo Tara's spirit to the afterlife and save us from poltergeist bug eyes.

I would have been shocked if she hadn't pulled the trigger.  She just saw her best friend get killed right in front of her by the same bitch who came into her house and attacked her once before.  It wouldn't have been believable if Sookie didn't bust a cap in her noggin.   And it's not like Sookie doesn't have it in her to get down and dirty when required.  Remember her dumping Russell's boy toy down the sink with that evil smile on her face?

Bet this is gonna be a major boner shrinker for Alcide, though.

Why does no one in Bon Temps get arrested for murder?  No one has bat an eye lash about the fact that the werewolves killed Tommy and Alcide/Sam pretty much killed the pack leader.  Lafayette killed Jesus, and now Sookie killed Debbie.  I mean, not even an acknowledgement of the fact that the body count is piling up, no questions asked?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. While Lafayette is recovering in the pink bed, I kept thinking, 'What the hell did they do with Jesus's body?'

But then again, the Sheriff is a drug user and related to the Vampire king of Louisiana.

I am excited for next season, but hated this season. Russell Edgerton and Vampire Reverend and dead Tara make next season must watch television.

Pretty much my thinking. If Andy is a good indication of their police force then incompetence is the name of the game.

Alternate excuse: A wizard did it.

She can put on the red negligee and deal with that shit....

I'm a little bummed that Tara may be hanging around, even in poltergeist form via Lafayette.  According to my friend who read the books, when that happened one of the vampires gave her blood and kept her from dying.  Me, I like the idea of her being nowhere near.

Wonder if the Rev's wife is anywhere near, though?  She could take turns with Jessica keeping Jason company.
