Trenched on XBLA

Guys, this is pretty fun.  It's a DOTA/Tower Defense game with WWI mechs where you build turrets and then wreck shit with your "trench".  It's really cool.

Also, co-op.

Gentlemen, I am Medium Dave on Xbox Live, let's kick the shit out of some baddies.

It's been a while since I've given in this quickly to strategy game addiction, which says nothing about Trenched's clever presentation, design, and writing.

Kill lots of things, collect loot, kill more things, win, upgrade stuff, and repeat...can't stop playing. Is there an upgrade for the loot magnet? Annoying when you spawn camp and precious loot points won't come to butthead when I press RB.

You get the ICP Magnet Turret (still funny!), which is rad and cheap.  Drop that near places where you tend to kill stuff long distance and it'll suck up scrap like a motherfucker.

That is some well thought out twinkies.

I'll be on in the late evening if either of you guys want to co-op.

Man, I'm gonna have to break down and either repair my 360 or buy a new one, I guess. This looks amazing.

This game is a lot of fun, its managed to pull me away from SHOGUN 2! I don't know how many people can play co-op but I'd be happy to play with you guys.

What a perfect little gem of a game. Hut, two, three.

The end-game weapons are hilarious - the "Prince" cannon nearly obstructs the screen. If only it weren't so short...

There needs to be randomization once you beat the game, like randomize waves with higher level loots, but that's really the only problem I have with the game.  Maybe that's the DLC.  Fuck, at this point, if it's only more levels or loot or whatever, I'm there.  Game's hella fun.

You can always go back and get the medal achievements, I guess. Even my level 10 trench had problems getting gold in the Pacific levels, especially that damned power plant one.

God, the weapon descriptions are so funny.

If any of you guys are still banging around on this and want to play sometime I'm down. I've finished it and got all the achievements but I just keep playing trying out different chasis' with different weapons and emplacements. I'm still trying to grab a few of the weapons and legs that I saw on some randoms too. Gamertag is GhostRevery.

Loving what I'm getting to see of the game but am getting near-unplayable lag, with stutters every 2-3 seconds at best and at worst full-on dropping out of games when there's four players on. I'm certain it's not my connection as everything else plays fine, and even in the menus the game keeps telling me it's lost the connection to Live when I'm still on. Done some checking around and it seems to be a common problem for Aussie players.

Hope DF can patch this soon, because the game takes on a life of its own with other players. SP's fine, but even in the little MP I've played I've had awesome moments (Just awesome moments in a slideshow)

I've noticed the lag too, I wasn't sure if it was just me or not I'm in Hawaii and I seem to always have a jukey connection on certain games and great on others. I've played with a full team (4 players) quite a bit in the last few days and I've noticed, and don't quote me on this, but it seems like when two or more people are running the more flashy artillery like Mr. Pancake and The King the lag is worse. I was playing last night with a few guys and we were all running engineering chassis' for the hell of it and there wasn't really any lag the entire time we played. After those guys quit I got on with some randoms and they were all running heavy chassis with artillery and it was, like Worky said, pretty much a slideshow of ass kicking. It probably has nothing to do with how these things work but I don't know, it seems to be the case for me so far.
