Yes, it's not half bad. Extremely inoffensive and very drinkable if you're just looking for something refreshing and light. I got another 12 pack but this one was just Sol. It's cheap and in stock for Cinco De Mayo so why not? $12 for a 12 pack.

More recognition for Asheville beer. Asheville Brewing Company just had one of their beers (Rocket Girl Lager) be voted top lawnmower beer of Spring 2013. http://www.thestreet.com/story/11913043/1/10-best-lawnmower-beers-of-spring-2013.html

Tried the Curious Traveler Shandy last night, a lemon beer that was delicious and refreshing in equal measure.

Tonight I'm going to have a Lagunistas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' ale with Game of Thrones.

Anyone been to Thirsty Bear in San Francisco, or had any of their beers? I'll be staying in the hotel across the street this weekend, and I want to stop in. What should I try while I'm there?

Little Sumpin' is a great beer. Did you enjoy it?

I did enjoy it! I bought two more the next day. It wasn't quite as over poweringly oily/piney as other IPA type beers (like the Double Wide) and it also did a great job at getting me moderately smashed. I am not going to get it again soon (going to try other things) but I'd definitely say it was a success.

I also very much enjoyed the Curious Traveler Shandy. If lemonade became a beer, it would be the Curious Traveler.

A shandy is originally a mixed drink that is supposed to be something like half lemonade and half beer.  So if you like the flavor and want to give making your own a shot you should go for it. I've seen recipes that are 1 part lager to 1 part lemonade.

Good call, man. I'll look into that. In the mean time keep an eye out for this one, coming at you from the hills of Vermont:
