You should probably be sure all those corporate theaters are going to play ball with your little scheme before announcing it to the world.

If we assume that more and more of the return involved in running a theater is in the ancillary stuff (snacks, video games, etc.), this would actually seem a pretty good idea: increased foot traffic for the real profit centers (plus more eyeballs on the ads).

 

And no I'm not bitter just because I live a couple minutes' drive from two of the theaters that were mentioned. I was so ready to go...

I see a movie every week (usually at the Arclight which would never be part of such a thing), if it's a big week maybe two, and rarely not at all (like this week). I still couldn't see paying 50 bucks for such a pass.

I'm not sure why they shuddered their trial though. Shouldn't they have shut it down instead of shaking it?
