LOUD NOISES!!

All in all, it looks just as enjoyable/forgettable as the first one. What's not to like?

The movie, possibly?

This has 'rushed sequel' written all over it. I liked the first one enough though. We'll see.

Meh.

'Forgettable' pretty much defines the first one. Some RDJ/Law banter and poor CGI is all I can remember from it. Mark Strong was in it, wasn't he?

Yeah looks like a bit of fun. At least Richie seems to understand the strength of these films - RDJ and Laws awesome chemistry - and is playing to that.

Yup. As long as I get some nice direction and Downey/Law scenes, I'm on board. And Jared Harris will make a great Moriarty, no one should be worried.

I'm so glad the BBC got Holmes right, cos these films, as cute and forgettable as they are, look like they were written by someone who's never read a Holmes novel in his life.

Seconded. I found the first film both forgettable and a huge exercise in missed opportunities. Unless respected word comes that this is a substantial improvement, I'll likely skip it.

The trailer was mediocre to bad, IMNSHO. Would never guess it's a Holmes movie without the title, and it does nothing to sell the rivalry between Moriarity and Holmes.

I love the first film, as well as the BBC's Sherlock.  That being said, I find it curious (and kinda funny) that the Downey version retains the Victorian trappings while abandoning some of the more cerebral aspects of the stories whereas the Cumberbatch (ha!) version abandons the Victorian trappings but is extremely true to the character.  Whatever, I'll be interested to see how much actual sleuthing Sherlock actually does this time around.

Are we sure this is Guy Ritchie?  After watching the trailer, I would have guessed Zack Snyder.

Looks like they received a bigger budget, and blew it all to hell.

Kinda bummed they gave us the Moriarty reveal in the trailer. I know they hadn't cast him in the first one, so he was hidden in shadows and all that, but a little...mystery would have been nice, at least for the audience. I wonder if this will be more of the same Scooby Doo type plot of the first, or if it will be more firmly grounded in the real world (without the feint of ghosts and whatnot). Tarot means shit, after all, especially cuz it's actually anachronistic to the times.

RDJ and Jude Law bantering is something I'm always up for, though.

First was fun enough fluff. Hope this one has less unconvincing greenscreen set extensions.

Any Harrs recommendation? I've seen him in The Ward and one of the Resident Evils.

Looks fun. Harris looks better than the Moriarty in the BBC SHERLOCK, that's for sure. He was about as sinister and threatening as a primary school teacher trying to look in control.

Noomi Rapace looks awesome and loving the accent.

RDJ hamming it up, did anyone see his trailer intro from maybe Avengers Mansion??

Out of newer stuff he plays a great villain in Fringe. And quite the Moriarty type I might add.

I kinda liked that they were going for outright psychotic but I too was a little underwhelmed by him.  Love that series overall, though. I enjoy RDJ and Law but otherwise these films sort of pale in comparison.

The Moriarty in the TV show was horrendous! What were they thinking.

Hopefully his gone for good.
