Aah, that feels good. Unsure, but do shows that are hugely ensemble based, and without a super- strong lead (like Jon Hamm) ever win best drama? Because hey, Mad Men is great and all, but hasn't it won enough? Isn't it time for, I dunno...Game of Thrones? Just sayin.

 

As always super glad to see all the love The Good Wife gets. Seriously, one of the most underappreciated, unwatched shows on network tv. Great stuff.

Love seeing Louis CK and Idris Elba getting nods. Hate how Community is being ignored. I know it's not a typical sitcom, but come on. It's said often, but I will never understand how The Big Bang Theory is so popular.

 

Also, Kristen Wiig getting nominated for SNL is sort of a surprise. How often are SNL cast members nominated? I'm certainly rooting for her.

And Antiques Roadshow. LET"S FINALLY GET THAT WIN

Dan Harmon probably started his Enemies' List this morning.

 

MODERN FAMILY is a fine show, and the cast is solid, but this Supporting Actor bullshit has got to stop.  It eats up FOUR slots in the category that should have included Danny Pudi and Nick Offerman.

Well well, isn't the best supporting actor in a drama series going to be a tight one - Dinklage vs Goggins vs Cumming vs Slattery.

Award shows are dumb and stupid and nobody should care about them and all that. That said:

 

I appreciate Big Bang Theory for what it is. I don't watch it, but it's entertaining enough and I know many people who do really like it. Jim Parsons is excellent on it. For the life of me though, I cannot imagine how Jonny Galecki gets nominated for playing such an incredibly bland character. If you want to give that show another nomination, give it to Cuoco, she's the best non-Sheldon part of that show.

 

I haven't gotten around to watching Modern Family yet. I hear good things, and for all I know it's absolutely fantastic. Still, 4 nominations for that show and no nomination for Donald Glover and Nick Offerman (not to mention Neil Patrick Harris) is criminal.

 

Lastly, if there is any justice in this world Connie Britton will win the best actress Emmy that she has richly deserved for the past 5 seasons.
