I too thought it was a "hrmmmm...." casting at first, but from that picture...i think it was an awesome one.

It's really brilliant design as you can tell who's who (once names are memorized of course), just from silhouette, beard style and color. Even at this tiny size:

Hopefully they get distinct cinematic personalities and individual moments to shine.

 

As much as I love the R/B version, all the "rhyming name twins" looked alike.

I like the design for Orcrist, it definitely looks like part of a set with Sting (and I was worried they'd go with a more dwarven design for it), but Glamdring won't fit with the the other two at all (unless they just pretend that the sword Gandalf has in LotR isn't Glamdring).

And it looks it in that picture, which was my point.  If you look at Glamdring in LotR, it doesn't look Elven made, and I was worried they'd go the same way with Orcrist.
