Congrats to both A and B leaguers.

My season has been one of epic disappointment.  If you wanna know the definition of a Super Bowl Hangover look to my team.  I've been so bad this year that I keep forgetting that I actually won last year.

Anyway, my team is so bad now that I think I may not even want to tag Jamaal Charles as a keeper...but I don't have anyone else!

Thanks, it's been a nice ascension from 7th my first year, 5th last year and then top seed this year.. I'm just lucky Stafford has (so far!) kept himself upright all year long.

B league, I'm just hoping the Reggie Bush / Ray Rice train doesn't stop. Those two are carrying me, along with Senor Brady.

Hey Shonn Greene, thanks for finally playing well after my team was eliminated from the playoffs.

On the other hand, thank YOU, MJD.  And thank you crumbling Tampa Bay defense.

I played a team with MJD and Brady this week. Buhrootal.

I'm well on my way to a playoff win in the A League.  Up 30 FP with still Nicks and Cruz to play, and Gio just has Witten.  In my Dynasty League, it's nip and tuck with the other team, but I also have the Nicks/Cruz tandem to go there as well, and all his skill guys have either finished, or are playing right now.

My league I started 5-0 in?  Yep, I'm done.  Ugh.  That's my most disappointing outcome this week already.

You destroyed me. Well done, sir.

Marshawn Lynch vs. Steven Jackson in the first round of the playoffs. I never would have thought I would be at the disadvantage against Lynch.

Thanks.  It seems that my team comes together about once every 3-4 weeks.

Meaner Machine?  I'M COMIN' FOR YOU!

I won my Dynasty game--into the next round.  If it means anything, I'm averaging 10 FP per week more than my opponent.  But who knows.  And in the the league I didn't make the playoffs?  Yeah, I scored the 3rd highest in the league.  Argh.

With Big Ben listed as questionable, do I start Mark Sanchez or Joe Flacco this week.

Times like that, I just roll with whoever is facing the weakest/lower rated pass defense....and then wish for the best.

I think Sanchez has the better matchup and the higher upside, with all those rushing TDs he's been getting.  He's been a top 10 QB this season.  Somehow.

Half-point PPR, I need to start 2 of these 3 (RB2 and Flex): Kevin Smith, Brandon Jacobs, Owen Daniels.  Thoughts?

I don't trust Kevin Smith, but I trust Owen Daniels less, especially with T.J. Yates. Go with Smith and Jacobs.

Yeah, Smith is at least good when he plays.  I've been getting something out of him even when he leaves the game early.

I have Rodgers, Cruz, Nicks, Colston, MJD, Blount, and Gonzalez.  And I have like 24 FP right now.  Fuck me.  Rodgers has like 2 FP, Nicks can't catch a cold, and everyone just plain sucks.  Perhaps a 2nd half surge?  Or not.

Wow, unexpected awesomeness from Donald Brown and CJ Spiller may have saved me in the B-League.

Winless so far in four playoff games. Thank god I had byes in two others.

You're beating me, friend.  When your kicker almost outscores 3 of your offensive starters COMBINED, that's not good.

Oh yeah, I forgot the A league bye was last week. Well hooray for at least one matchup going my way...

Up by just over 2 FP in my money/dynasty league--he has Crabtree and a San Fran LB left, and I have Heath Miller and Ryan Clark.  Ugh.  Should have gone with gut and played Sproles over Helu--but Helu was the leading rusher in the NFC the last 3 weeks, so...  Benching Desean Jackson was a good idea, though.  Sproles would have gotten me another 10 FP.  So if I lose by less than 10 FP, I guess I screwed myself.  Either way, I'm done in this league after this year.  Winning the league to finish out would be nice.

WAAHHHHHH!!!!  I won my game by 6 FP!  I'm in the championship in my money league!  Which means I'm guaranteed $ regardless of the outcome--$70 for 2nd and $170 for first.  SWEET!  And this is my last year in the league, so that makes it even sweeter.  The guy I'm playing basically just has Rodgers and McCoy on offense and that's it (that's enough, actually), so I'm hoping for the best.

Only other league I'm still in is the B league, where I'm also facing Rodgers.  But in the 2 leagues I have Rodgers in, I'm done.  Bleah.

I'm happy to have made it to the championship game in the A league, where I fully expect to get murdered by about 50 points.

Sorry, given that out of six playoff appearances in various leagues, the A League is the only one I'm still alive in.. yes, I need to unleash some frustration this week. Nothing personal.

You're 12-1 for a reason. You built a solid team!  I just see it as a Colts fan vs a Jags fan..which in a way is really really funny.

Why are you leaving the league?

I was in three playoffs and I lost all three this week

I'm just done.  Been in it for about 6-7 years, and between the ridiculous amount of time it takes for the draft, the fact that no one will talk trade unless you offer 3 first round picks for a WR3, and the incessant complaining by guys that have been in that league for like 10 years and still don't know the rules, I'm just finished with the league.  I'm in 5 leagues now that are every year, and I've decided to dump 2 of them after this season.  I'm still in another Ironman dynasty league that I just joined a couple of years ago, so I'm going to focus on that one now, especially since I was bad enough to get the #2 draft pick for 2012.

You could argue that we should both be good fantasy players this year since it's a fantasy that both of our teams are good!

Man, I'm really having trouble getting into the Yahoo stuff.  I go to my team page, and everything but my roster shows up.  I had to switch it to the "classic" view.

Good luck to everyone still in the playoffs in some form or fashion.  And Merry Christmas/Happy Chanukah/etc. to all!

Thanks, Tom.

I'm up by 23 FP after today in my $ league.  However, he still has Rodgers tomorrow night, but he's done after that game.  We still both have 5 players left, but 2 of mine play Monday night (Sproles and a LB for Atlanta).

Congrats on your victory!   In both of my championship games this weekend I had Tony Romo as my QB..

Yeah, I get the feeling that Tony Romo decided many championship games this week, for better or worse, than any other player in the NFL. Such is the bane of fantasy football. Thanks!

Having AP did not help either.. ha ha ha

Well, I ended up finishing 2nd in my $ league.  I had the chance, had I played a few different guys here and there.  But 70 bucks is better than no bucks.  Rodgers just killed me--and he played that damn TE from Tennessee who ended up having like 168 yards receiving and a couple of TDs, plus he had Finley and James Jones.

Congrats to the Meaner Machine...I end up 3rd in the A League, and ironically am playing for 3rd in the B league now, with my decimated team.  My A league team was up and down all season, and continued that through the playoffs.

Get at my 10 game win streak.

I'm in the championship my first year in the B league!  Thanks to a .16 point victory last night.  ...I'll take it.

Well, my keepers for next year in the A league will be easy--Rodgers, Nicks, MJD, and Julio Jones as my rookie.

I am getting lambasted in the B league because I forgot to check the updates pre-game today and played two guys that are out.  Oh well.

Thread Starter

Oh well--had I played two different players that actually played instead of two guys that didn't, I might have managed 3rd in the B-league too.  Ironic that I went into the playoffs as the 2 seed in the B league and barely made it in the A league, but finished higher in the A league.

Finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th in three leagues, but still was able to win at least one playoff game in 5 out of 7 leagues (didn't make the playoffs in 1 league).

My Yahoo leagues:

Well, finished the B-League season in 7th place by winning the Consolation Bracket. Go me! Considering my season started out by me looking like a solid last place finisher, I'll take 7th.

Went into the playoffs in one of my leagues as a solid #1 seed with a 10-4...and finished 3rd.

Went into the playoffs in another with an 8-6 record and ended up finishing 3rd.

Finished 6th in another of my leagues.

And 8th in my last league.

So, two 3rd place finishes, a 6th place, a 7th place, and an 8th place finish in my yahoo leagues. I guess that's a fairly okay season overall.

My ESPN leagues:

7th Place

2nd Place

19th Place (out of 20)

8th Place

Thanks for another great season of fantasy football, guys.  Already looking forward to next year.

Boy, was Matt Flynn a hell of a spot-start.  The plan was to roll with Rodgers and just hope that he put up 100 yards and a TD before McCarthy yanked him.  Saw he was inactive about 30 minutes before kick-off, switched to Flynn, single-handedly won me the B-League.  As for the A-League... well lets just say it was a building year.

Overall, I won 2 championships out of 4 leagues.  Netted a profit in both my money leagues - a championship in one, and winning weekly transaction money a bunch in the other.

Oh, and the one thing in common with both my championship teams?  MJD.  Kudos to him for staying healthy and playing hard all season, despite being on a terrible terrible football team.  Fantasy MVP as far as I'm concerned.

this was my worst season of FF ever, my consolation, granted it was a big one, was winning my big money league.

Overall, I have put a lot of years into this Chud team though and it completely shit the bed.  Here's to next year!

This is late, and I'm not super butthurt or anything, but having the last game on the last game of the season is pretty lame.  You basically end up playing a completely different team than your usual one.

Thread Starter

That's the only league I do that in.  If I may throw my 2 cents in...for the B league I would propose that we maybe pull back on the the number of positions we start and also see if we can pull the season back to that next to last week.  Maybe a standard 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1K/1D with one flex WR/RB/TE position thrown in there.  Or remove one of the WR slots and make it a flex position.

Yeah I'd be up for those changes for next season. I'll try to remember to do that when I'm able to open the league again for the new season...but more than likely I'll need to be reminded! Haha.
