B-Leaguers...any ideas for when we should have our draft?

Hm.  Any time after work hours (post ~6pm EST) is fine for me...

Friday night and weekends work best for me, I'm on the East Coast...so

Ok, I have changed it to Monday night the 28th unless there are any objections

We are missing Wease and Jason Thompson. I emailed both of them with the address I have from them from like three years ago.  If they don't sign in by Aug. 20, I am opening those two teams up, preferably to people who played in the A-league in the past and then  to everyone else if it doesn't fill up after that.

sad we havent heard from wease yet.

just a suggestion, can we open it up to past A-leaguers and maybe the top contenders from last year's B-league?

I fondly remember playing my way in from the B-league waaaaay back when.

I vote for a Saturday. Saturdays are the best for me.

Monday is the 29th.  11 PM ET works for me as well.  Thanks, SD.

For B-league, Sat. or Sunday is good for me...later on at night is good too.  And yeah, if there are no past A-leaguers, I say we pull in the two teams that made the B-league title game last year into the A league.  You can still play in both.  I'm in the B-league as well, and I sucked there.  Made it to the championship in the A-league, though.  Go figure.

I'm down for whenever with the B-league draft - any time on Sundays are fine, Saturdays are a bit more spotty, but I'll deal.  Any evening during the week also works.

I remember that. I ran both leagues and the top two B-teams moved into the A-league and the worst two A-teams dropped into the B-league.

I can't do the 27th at all (my in-person league draft day) but the 29th is all good.

I feel that generally people will not be at their computers on saturday nights...so I'm leaning towards the B-League draft on a sunday evening.

Also, I'm totally for having the top two teams from the B-League move up to the A-League each season, with the bottom two A-League teams dropping down to the B-League...I think it would be cool to have some movement between the leagues.

I can do Sunday after 6pm EST. Saturday and Monday should be open as well.

We stopped doing that when we made the A-league a keeper league.

yea now that the A league is a keeper we stopped the play in phenomenon.

i think in this special instance were two teams are going unclaimed we go with the play in thing and reward the top two teams from the B-league.

it becomes dicey now that we are keepers though when it comes to continuing the play-in thing.  Not to sound exclusionary, because I directly benefitted from the old system.

Not to mention that if you're in both leagues, a particularly craptastic season could put you into having two teams in one league, either way...

Jason Thompson is out. He just emailed me and is too busy to play this year. When it comes to a replacement team, I am open to how we do it but if we do base it on last years best team in the B-league, I want to make sure the team is in for the long haul. Since we went to keeper format, this is the first team to drop out so I want to keep the stability of our owners up.

If you were in the A-league before and want back in, you are my first choice. After that, as always, I put a lot of basis on Chud message board seniority.

So we have time for the B-League draft?

If Wease is out, then I call dibs on Adrian Peterson. A guy can dream...

When is the A-League deadline to declare our keepers?

Sorry it took a few days to respond...I've been on vacation at the beach without my computer. Does Sunday the 28th work for everyone for the B-league draft? Only problem is that on that date the only available draft times are 9am,10am,11am, and 12pm. If monday works better, all draft times from 9am-6pm, and 10 and 11pm are available draft times.

I like Monday night better than Sunday morning.

I throw in for 10 PM (I'm assuming EST) on Monday, since our A league draft is at 11 PM EST.

I'm on Pacific time, so 10pm EST does not work for me..which is 7pm for me. Now if there is a 10:30pm EST, that works best for me.  Sorry for being the cock block.

I had the 2nd pick in my other draft last night..so I ended up with Adrian Peterson....I just had to pick him right? right? :-(

Looks like we need replacements for the two now vacant keeper teams. I am not going to say who the keeper choices are to be fair. One of the teams gets the first pick of the draft though. As I said, if someone has played before, speak up now and you are in.

I always wanted to do a keeper league and would be happy to fill in if you need someone in the A-league.  I made it to the championship in the B-league last year if that matters.  I've got credentials!

PM me your email address...

Sweet!  Really looking forward to this.  I guess since I am without a rookie, I will keep:

Drew Brees, Reggie Wayne, Peyton Hillis

Still need one more team...

There isnt a 10:30pm, draft time for monday, just 10 and 11pm.

Ok, having it at 10pm Est is fine with me. I'll just leave work early.

Monday at 10pm it is then!

If someone doesn't pick Weese's team, I am opening it up to non-Chud people

If you need someone in the A-League I can jump in.  That is if you don't mind someone in both the A and B leagues.

I am bi-leagual already, so you won't be the first.

My draft for my other league was last night.

Fucking Chris Johnson.

Fucking Peyton Manning.

I'm an idiot.

For the record, the B League Monday @ 10 works for me!

ouch man. While I'm a HUGE Manning/Colts fan boy, I even stayed away from him sadly.  But not Dallas Clark...

Not sure when the A-League keeper deadline is, but here are mine:

Michael Turner, Jason Witten, Brandon Marshall (rookie pick: Colt McCoy)

Not thrilled with my group, but it's the best I got.

angles, i like the colt mccoy keeper...i never thought i'd say this but I am very excited at the fantasy prospects in cleveland!

Well I was under the impression he MIGHT miss the first game (and Johnson would probably get signed and play) but yeah...

Yeah, with Manning as a keeper it's weird that I have to go into the draft thinking about a QB.

Here are my picks for the keeper league.

Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald and Tony Romo.

I have a feeling that he'll play the first game. But once something wrong happens or he's just not "feeling it" then he'll be on the bench.

I don't have Sammy Jankis keepers yet. He accepted his team and I emailed him last night, but I need to figure out what his keepers are to set up the draft.

Are the rest of the teams' keepers here in this thread? If not, do you mind posting them all here once they're all in? It'll be nice for draft prep.

good idea

third that notion...or at least load them up to yahoo...i dont know if thats possible to do so early??
