...which is dumb, if you ask me.

Since this has been sitting around for a while, I didn't know what to expect.
Looks like a MUST SEE.

It'll be fun to see Carano break Banderas, smack the shit out of McGregor, drown Fassbender, curb stomp Douglas and castrate Bill Paxton with high heels. I'm just missing the class of the poster artworks and I already dread any scene not involving a) Carano kick butt b) going offroad with a Subaru.

You forgot Tatum!

The action in this looked rock solid and old school.

Well, it's fun to see anyone hit Channing Tatum...

I'm getting a Spartan vibe off this, which is not at all a bad thing. Carano seems to have presence, is clearly a lock for some pretty effective looking fight scenes, and Soderbergh directing is enough of an incentive for the supporting cast not to sleepwalk through this. Paxton as the knowing Dad works well in the trailer too. I've met a lot of service parents and the brief glimpse indicates he nails the unassuming confidence that's always been a characteristic I associate with ageing, military trained hard cases.

As an aside, it's going to be weird seeing Fassbender in quasi-Bond mode (assuming the trailer isn't a fake out) getting his arse handed to him. Kind of a weird vibe given how perfect he'd be as 007, or maybe that's just me.

Sold. I have a soft spot for real martial artists who are beautiful Carano fits that bill. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Looks good. Even better if it's in the vein of TRAFFIC. Damn I would love to see a Soderbergh directed sequel, dealing with the current hellish situation. With all the principlals back.

It's nice to see fight scenes you can actually follow.

Carano's acting seems a little wooden but those look like the best choreographed, most realistically intense hand to hand fight scenes since Bourne. She needs to be Wonder Woman RIGHT NOW.

This would make a great Grindhouse-style double feature with Refn's Drive.

If it was by someone other than Soderbergh, I'd be wary. Especially for Carano, since everyone else is guaranteed to be great. But after watching and liking both Bubble and The Girlfriend Experience I'm on board with no reservations.

I dunno. Carano seems very cold in the trailer and if reading every Bruce Lee interview ever taught me anything it's that movie fighting is a different game than real fighting or sports fighting I'll just start bracing myself right now for the cracks about MacGregor's accent and Tatum's face, but with Douglas, Banderas and Fassbender in effect the rest of the cast is no joke.

It is odd that there's not even a "From the director of Ocean's Eleven" or something. Or is it? Maybe, but Soderbergh is still the #1 reason I want to see it.
