MOVIE OF THE DAY: MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE

Totally in agreement with you on this, it's a terrible film and it's the first time I was ever disappointed by both going to the cinema and He-Man in general. The worst part (aside from Dolph's delivery of I have the power) has to be Skeletor's mask.  I watched Flash Gordon tonight and General Klytus' mask should have been a basis for what they did, not that rubber crap they actually used.

Am I the only one who loved the Skeletor make-up?  I was psyched as hell when it became clear they were going a similar route for Red Skull with Captain America.

I love this movie.  It is terrible, but I love it anyway.  I still think Langella is great in it though.

Oh he is great in this, his Skeletor is scene devouring magnificent. Especially when he looses his shit. Way better than the Saturday morning cartoon version, who was a dweeb.

Also having super 80s ice-bitch Meg Foster back you up as Evil-Lyn is always welcome.

This was the first film that made me realize as a boy that not every single movie was the greatest thing in the history of ever. In fact, this one was really kinda... shit.

This film helped awaken my critical faculties, so I suppose I should be at least a little grateful for its awfulness.
