I saw this when Landis presented it at Lincoln Center this past Spring. It's... okay. If you are a fan of everyone involved (Landis, Pegg, Serkis, Hynes, Wilkinson, Christopher Lee, Tim Curry, etc) you should check it out. Just go in with tempered expectations. It's mid-tier Landis, which may be enough for you guys when you consider how long it's been since we got a Landis comedy. There's lots of British talent filling out the cast and the period design is pretty fabulous. It just never reaches the hilarity of Landis' great comedies and coasts too much on lame mainstream-type subplots. Regardless, when the classic Landis-style cast "curtain call" came up at the end, I had to smile. It's been too long, John.
