I saw the joke coming, but it still absolutely slayed me.  Same goes for Smitty showing up at the end.  Great end to the season.

I just came here to post that. I was lightly chuckling at Plan B. When the show cut to Mac, I fucking lost it. God, I love this show.

Also, The D.E.N.N.I.S. system made a glorious return.

WOW. When they cut to Mac....I lost it. For some reason, I didn't see it coming.

I literally threw myself on the ground in front of my couch and had trouble breathing because I was laughing so hard. My fiance, who isn't the biggest fan but gets a chuckle every now and then, almost peed her pants from laughing so hard. Looking back, I feel so stupid for not having seen that coming. But wow, I haven't laughed so hard in at least 5 years.

Kudos on a great season, It's Always. Great end to a great season.

The promo ruined Mac screaming for me.  Ah well.  Other than that, I actually found this episode pretty shitty.  I didn't laugh, and it went back to the raunchiest, most obvious style of humor they have sometimes.  They can't please everyone I guess.

However, something has been nagging me since this finale started in part 1.  Weren't only two of the three guys schoolmates?  I wouldn't know where to start to figure this out, but I could have sworn like Dennis and Charlie, or Dennis and Mac went to school together and the third guy basically became a friend once school was finished.  I fee like there has been an episode or two in which they would reminisce and tell the third person about their school lives.  Am I remembering this wrong?

I'm pretty sure they had established Mac, Dennis and Charlie were all friends in high school.

Overall, yeah it was a little on the weak side. But it's another case of them splitting up what should have been an hour long finale. Like last seasons premier when Dennis got married. Splitting them up kinda ruined the flow.

I was surprised about the lack of Mcpoyles. And we had better see Psycho Pete next season.

This was easily either the 2nd or 3rd best season.

I think he's more recalling the dynamic from the early seasons where Dennis and Mac would have to explain to the ever fringe-dwelling Charlie how things worked within the more mainstream circles.  But they were always classmates.  And it makes total sense in retrospect that Dennis has rewritten his own history to make himself into the Golden God he deserves to be,  while the very fact that he's part of the gang lays lie to that belief.

Fat Mac moaning saved that episode. Like someone said earlier, I mildly chuckled a bit throughout that episode, but Macs aaaaiaiaiiahahaahghhghaggahghahhhahgggghhgghghggghggggghhssaaaaaaaa still gets me laughing as I type.

No mention of how Dennis has slowly been turned into a COMPLETE FUCKING PSYCHOPATH??

Fat Mac is one of the best things to happen to this show EVER.

So, Comedy Central and some other channels (WGN)  has been running IASIP in syndication for awhile now and I have noticed that the language is heavily edited. No surprise really...I can understand it if it's being shown in the middle of the afternoon but I noticed that it's heavily edited on Comedy Central even when it's being shown late at night.

I have noticed that not just language is edited (usually the audio is dropped out), there are certain images that blurred out (Dennis' drawings of big busted women)  From CC, that channel that gives us South Park, I find this odd...?

The thing that really caught my attention...CC is starting to show season 7, specifically the episode where they go to the "Jersey Shore".

IIRC, the "bad" laguage was edited but there apparently was no problem with showing the 2 bums fucking under the boardwalk.....which was a hell of lot more disturbing than a "god damn" or "shit" being spoken.

Just wondering if anyone else finds it odd ?

When they show 30 Rock in syndication, the phrases on Frank's hats are blurred out a lot of the time. Which might be even stranger than the censoring of Sunny considering that first-run episodes of 30 Rock are in primetime on a broadcast network.

This is exactly the kind of thing that I've been noticing lately...like in the last year or so. The deletion of certain words being said in tv shows seem really random and inconsistent.

I know that certain language has always been censored on "broadcast tv"....for example: "God Damn" becomes "___ Damn" or "asshole" becomes "___hole"  ....but it really seems that some of the editing is ridiculous, especially in this day and age of the content available on the internet.

I've been wondering if some of the tv networks have been scared into self editing by some of these conservative religious "family values" groups?

Is the FCC on the warpath and going after the networks with fines?

Charlie: "What happens if the boat is on fire?"

Dee/Frank:  "What?"

Charlie: "The boat is on fiiiiirrRREE!"

Every time I see him in the background eating various snack foods I lose my shit.

Every time this thread is bumped, I get excited that the show is back on the air. And then quickly get sad that it's not. :(
