The pics in the article are cool. I dig the Mad Max vibe. Isn't Hardy in that reboot too?

The pics in this thread? Yikes. Bane looks puny next to Bats. Hopefully it's a stuntguy and he isn't juiced there. Awkward. Bad angles or something. I know they're set/spy pics and I'll reserve for footage.

It's not bad angles, Hardy is a short guy. Seems clear that they'll be using some in-camera voodoo to sell the illusion that he is either bigger than Bale, or just about even in height and weight.

Except there's not a lot the production can do.  It's not like there shooting on a private soundstage or backlot where they can really restrict access.  They're a large production, shooting in very public places, in a city where something like this doesn't happen very often.  Clearly they're going to attract attention, and were likely aware stuff like this would happen.

I obviously don't know the specifics of the location agreement, but generally all you can do is ask people to be courteous, keep clear of the set and refrain from flash photography.  If they want to be assholes and walk through the shot, there's not a lot you can really do, legally.

Yeah, I get that. But the costume bulk is something to work around too. When I said "puny" I wasn't just referring to height. When I think of Bane, I think shy-of-Hulk girth. Too goofy for the movies, but he looks dwarfed there. I'll remain optimistic because it's Nolan.
 

The last shot of the teaser gives you an idea of how intimidating he'll be in the finished film.

No denying that, but you never know, especially considering what happened on the Premium Rush set last year.

Guys, they made normal guys look like midgets 10 yeas ago for Lord of the Rings, most of the time using just forced perspective. This isn't rocket science. Bane will look bigger than Bats. Hell, you can already tell Hardy is standing on something to make him taller in the fighting pics.
