It probably won't help either that it'll also be competing against March Madness for the first two weeks it's back.

Since NBC is most likely done with Community after this season, I guess it doesn't matter how bad it does coming up (and it's a good move to get 30 Rock away from The Big Bang Theory). If Community was doing badly in the fall, I can't imagine how terrible the ratings are going to be with American Idol as added competition.

I love Community, but I think NBC is going to be wishing they had ratings as terrible as 30 Rock's when they see what Community pulls in from here on out.

The thing about Community's ratings is the shows that are there now are getting killed.  CBS moving TBBT to Thursdays, in addition to whatever crap reality shows are in that slot, really left nothing.  For sitcom schedulers, avoid CBS's power sitcom slots and singing competitions, you just can't win these days.  For sitcom developers, try and get on CBS.  Community's ratings would probably double overnight if they were on CBS's Monday night lineup.

In my world she got it out of my closet the morning after we went to dinner

Say what you will about LMFAO, but Cardboard Box Robot Guy is always awesome.

What, Ms. Jacobs thought she needed to get a jump on re-stealing my heart? Silly, adorable Gillian, my heart never left your hip pocket.

Seriously, can that pic be cuter? Puppies couldn't make it cuter.

It was a Teefury shirt (a shirt-of-the-day site) a few weeks ago. Mine came in yesterday. Redbubble (which gets a lot of stuff from shirt of the day sites after the fact) has it now:

I got mine on Friday of last week. It is an awesome shirt. I never wear red like that, but will for that shirt.

Britta deserves better than Bib Fortuna.

Man, Shirley would be so pissed if she saw that. "An Ewok? What the hell?! I know you respect me too much to make me an Ewok!"

You both may be right, but many wrongs would be set right if we got to see Alison Brie rock the gold bikini.

Probably an equal amount if it was a Britta version. My mouth might water

Nah, it's exactly the kind of costume she'd go for. "Britta: I hate when women use Halloween as an excuse to dress up like sluts."

Yeah, because you have to save the slutty costumes for Christmas.

(Flashes back to the Christmas tree outfit....biggrin.gif)

The tree outfit wasn't slutty, Jacobs just wears a full-body leotard like nobody's business.

Warms my heart to know that the Dean and one of the evil Germans from Beerfest are now Oscar winners.

The Dean was the funniest part of the oscars. For real!

I completely skipped the Oscars last night for the first time in decades, and honestly did not know until reading this comment that those guys wrote The Descendants. Shame on me, first; holy crap congrats to Rash and Faxon (and Payne, but he's got better odds of returning), second; and can't wait to see what Harmon does with this, third.

I predict a plot where The Dean wins some kind of award...I would say from Dean Magazine, but we all know that publication went under sadly.

Only if we get a fourth season. S3 is wrapped, I believe.

It seems like our best bet for there being a S4 is economics: as pointed out, NBC can make more money from syndication rights if the show goes four seasons instead of just three. Let's hope greed gives us the final season that we need, and the show deserves.

Disagree, as I think NBC's essentially given up on Community ever becoming a cash cow.  What may work in our favor is hopelessness; when everything else they are doing is failing so badly, they might figure its better to keep around something that lends their brand a bit of credibility with the young market.

NBC has so many holes that it doesn't seem impossible they'll keep it just because its definitely got a vocal group of fans. And has season three wrapped? That seems very early.

I think it would help if they'd at least get a stupid Emmy nomination.  NBC feels better about holding on to shows when they get award attention.  I won't pretend to think Community would win, but c'mon.  Is a nomination too much to ask?

Anybody know how many episodes they have in the can? 5 or 6?

And what happened to that talk about John Goodman being in a lot of the season? What did we get, 2 or 3 episodes with him?

Hey, they have an Academy Award winner to pimp now! Get on it, marketing team, misrepresent the nature of Jim Rash's award and his role on the show PRONTO

Goodman and Omar. And considering the guest stars confirmed for the back half, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see much more of them, until what promises to be a really epic paint ball episode.

12 new episodes are in the can!  They wrapped on Season 3 about a week and a half ago.  That twitvid of Alison dancing posted on the previous page was from their last day.

As for it seeming earlier than usual, keep in mind they had a smaller order this year (22, compared to 25 and 24 for seasons 1&2 respectively) and were already on episode 16 or 17 before the holiday break.

If there is a Season 4, there's no way we won't see Jim Rash naked and painted gold. Just sayin'.

Hopefully they'll do something (and have a chance to so.)  Just have the dean inexplicably have an oscar statue in his office, or have Time Desk get optioned by a bunch of really shady filmmakers using it as a cover for some sort of criminal activity.  One thing they could do this season is add something to Rash's title card in the credits.

Also, possible Oscar bump?

I'd love this. He would probably forget to let a small patch of skin breath, and one of the cast will remind him, only for him to have a sudden realization why he feels weak.

Don't think this has been posted, but it's pretty awesome.

That is indeed awesome, and really shows off the series' visual flair.

That was cool, and I totally get why Community fans are in mad mash-up mode (is that a thing? Did I just coin a phrase?) because they want to keep hope alive. But seriously, it is getting a tad ridiculous that you can apparently combine Community with anything and have people be impressed by it.

I can imagine a LOT of Community-based mashups that would be utter shit. Prit sure on the YT page for that one above was a link to one of those dry-heave inducing character tributes to Britta - nothing but slo-mo clips with no original sound, set to some shitty "romantic" pop song. Really dug the one above because I thought they did a great job selecting clips that had some visual flair to them and were great character moments.

Plus, any given episode of Community is a a mash-up of Community and some other genre/movie.
