Brie and Jacobs! Good lord, this gonna be good

I don't know if you're racist or if Yvette Nicole-Brown intimidates you sexually, but I know it's one those two.

Yeah seriously that's a trifecta that has my tongue lolling out...

Bumping this to the next page because it is gold. Love that Jacobs came up with the hungee dance!

Well, with charm like that, I'm sure you're a magnet to the ladies.

Knocking them back with a stick

Does no one notice that Murder's avatar is the very character that was totally into Shirley?  Heheheh... Racist Prover.

She's not old, she's a little overweight, and I'm not sure why being black makes a difference. Classy post there, Murder.

Is this still going? I comment on two women I find attractive and out come the pitchforks about the third. Just not my taste, get over it.

HATERS GONE HATE, BRO!

Heh, remember . . . over in Walking Dead where you . . . nevermind.

See, the funny thing is if you'd responded with simply "Not my taste" to begin with then this would already be over.

Well, I loved that one. Terrific. Pierce's story might have been the best.

Yeah, it was racist and sexist in the best way possible.

I enjoyed Annie's incredibly detailed rendering of a werewolf killing a vampire, Pierce's hideous fantasy world, and Britta's valley girl narration, but by far my favorite story was Abed's. I'm totally using "I'm comforted by your shiny hair and facial symmetry" when I go a-courtin'. Abed is probably my favorite character, even if he did star in the worst episode the show's ever done.

I liked how the test scores at the end showed a clear pecking order of insanity, even if the results aren't too surprising. Abed is the most unflappable as well as perhaps one of the most altruistic. Troy and Annie have their problems but are mostly young innocents with good hearts. Britta definitely has some pretty major issues, but not as many as Shirley (recovering alcoholic, rage), and certainly Pierce's almost-entirely-red sheet fits in with a lot of his behavior from last season.

If you're referring in the top graf to the My Dinner with Andre episode, then we are through, sir. THROUGH.

I don't think Abed is actually the only sane one, he's just used to acting in a way that will be perceived as normal.

I think he means "Messianic Myths and Ancient Peoples."  At least, I hope so.

Didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous Halloween episodes, but it was still pretty darn solid.  I loved each character's personality showing up in their story, particularly Britta's half assed narration.

"In the news tonight, top story, an escaped convict from the asylum has escaped, and he's mental, and on the loose and stuff."

I definitely meant "Messianic Myths and Ancient Peoples". I shudder even thinking about it.

What kind of drained and tainted bitch dog soulless monster doesn't like the My Dinner with Andre episode?

I really do think Abed is the most well-adjusted one in the group, though.

Am I weird for being turned on by Annie story

"Teach me to read!"

I lost it at that line from Vampire Jeff.

Really unfortunate that the schedule shake up put this directly after "Remedial Chaos Theory", as we get two kaleidoscope episodes in a row, and this ones suffers a little by comparison.  Still, great stuff.  Loved how they managed to touch on so many different types of horror (slashers, body horror, home invasion, religious) in such a compressed time frame.

"That's my kind of pot bong!"

Man, the two other women in the group have some real issues with Britta.

A terrific episode, although I do think Chaos was even better. I kinda hope that they release the eps on DVD based on production schedule, rather than when the shows aired, so they aren't back-to-back.

"...We interrupt your death metal to bring you some heavy news."

I totally loved the way that Shirley managed to work in four of the seven plagues.

The Flava Flav alarm clock and the rave-pacifier totally sold Pierce's fear of young minorities. I like to believe that the last moving picture that Pierce accidentally saw was Menace 2 Society in 1993.

The more I think on it, the more I think Shirley's was my favorite. "I don't care. I lived in New York." Returns covered in blood. "Ugh, it's like New York out there."

Super fucking funny ep last night. There was a bit of deja vu with the 7 different stories, a la Remedial Chaos Theory, but when they're this good, who cares?

"I thought I heard something awesome outside". What a great episode. I'm seconding/thirding/whatever the claim that Shirley had the best story by far, but they're all really great so you can't really go wrong.

I always thought Abed was the sanest one because he's actually right about everyone living in a television show.

For some reason Troy's delivery of "Oh thank God, an old doctor." had me in STITCHES. Get it? Stitches? Since they ended up stitched toget-never mind.

I also would've given this ep even more props if it ended with zombies attacking ("I heard the Dean got this great taco meat from the army!").

Change being the crazed killer was a nice touch.

"GAAAAY MARRIAAAAGE!"

Agreed, the order change was messing with my head a bit.  After having two Chang heavy episodes, followed by the Chang-less Chaos theory, followed by a two week break, when he popped up here, I went, "oh yeah, Chang... forgot about that guy."  I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

Good episode, it is a damn shame it had to be back-to-back with CHAOS THEORY. As mentioned above if they had the smaller “Competitive Ecology” between them they'd seem even fresher.

I think my favourite line was Britta's "I don't care, whatever" when Jeff drops her to thrall Annie

*I cannot remember the exact line, watched the ep before work this morning. I will be watching it again though

Britta splayed all over the couch with weed all over her chest? That is my kinda pot-bong.

I dug Annie's "Yo Jango, check it!" even more, though mostly because I can imagine how happy Brie was to get to act like that on the show. Also, Shirley's concept of younger people's fashion seems to be centered around 1994.

Plus another shout-out to Dr. Spacetime and the Constable!

The line was "I'm OK with this!"

The best thing about this was how much thought was put into who does what in each other's stories. Like Annie seeing Jeff as a sexy monster and Britta as an idiot slut thrall. Great use of the Dean too. It was just a really well put together episode, and I think I liked it more than the last one.

Fun episode.  I agree it suffers a bit as a followup to Remedial Chaos Theory.

But my favorite aspect of the episode is definitely how each story shows you what each character thinks about the others.

"Do not judge me for my weakness..."

Oh, and...

"Teach me to read!" is such a brilliant parody of the Twilight mindset, even apart from what it says about Annie. Who I'm sure loves the Twilight books.

As awesome as the Dean as devil was, I kinda feel like that should have been Pierce. That being Shirley's fantasy and all.

Also, the "death metal and heavy news" station was NPR.

The Sam Raimi/Evil Dead 2 camera work during Devil-Dean's entrance was actually kinda spooky.  Or maybe it was just the costume.

So, so many great lines.  But Troy's "We're Top Gun fighter pilots - the best of the best!" punctuated with Abed's faint "pew!  pew!  pew!" killed me.

Alison Brie as Phoebe Cates.   Is it possible to reboot sexual fantasies?

And Jacobs as Bender... confusingly attractive.
