Jason crushes the enemies. Jeb sees them driven before him. Brian hears the lamentations of their women.

Nicely timed thoughts on the disposability of DVD's and Blu... I was just at Target last night, noticing (for the first time I guess) their 4-packs of movies like the Burton-Schumacher Batmans, or the Dirty Harry flicks, for $8.99, and remembering that these were (for the most part) major releases, and some were films that you'd expect to be the backbone of a collection, not a throwaway.

Another great column, guys.

PIT AND THE PENDOLUM is the classic Stuart Gordon I haven't revisited in forever. Probably since HS. Thanks for the spotlight.

Oh, and the CONAN commentary rules. Love it even more than the TOTAL RECALL one.

Thanks man. Stuart Gordon is one of my fave filmmakers. I own everything he's made except The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit (it's impossible to find). This movie deserves so much better treatment than what it will get from Echo Bridge. Even the box art is shit.

There were three films released this week with shitty covers. Better Off Dead, The Name of the Rose, and Pit. What makes this truly sad is that Better off Dead and Name of the Rose both have Drew Struzan paintings to work with - and the old Full Moon Pit and the Pendulum artwork is the bee's knees.
