RENN TALKS TO AN APE SCIENTIST

I love these kinds of interviews. Reminds me of the one when someone from CHUD (was it you, Renn?) contacted the CDC in Atlanta to see if they had anything remotely like the silly self-destruct mechanism displayed in The Walking Dead. I think it'd be a great idea to do one of these every now and then for virtually any kind of movie or show.

just read the full interview over at Guy.  Tremendous work, although as ever when I read something like that it makes me astonishingly angry.

It fucks me off beyond compare that humanity, especially fuckhead politicians and industrilistsare so goddamn human centric that they will do anything to fuck over nature and don't realise how much we stand to lose if these creatures die out.  Her statement about having difficulty getting funding (especially after the republicans have just forced massive cuts in public spending rather than taxing the uber rich) dismayed me so much.

And that's not even taking into account the evil fucks that cut off ape hands or feet for mementos, or because they believe in some magical property.

And finally this is why I fucking despise fundamentalist Christians.  Believing that this is just a step towards 'paradise' gives tjhem such a short term view of our own world, I mean why would you have to look after it when it's just a stepping stone to 'paradise'.  Mother-fuckers.

phew - I'll step down off my soap box and draw back from my unconsidered rant to say "more of these please Renn"

Great interview Renn. I hope you do more "tangent" interviews on this in the future.

Here's one suggestion: interview a historian about the various Nazi Death Machines as an "addon" to Captain America!

This is a great idea for an interview series & this one was pretty fascinating. Although. it must be said that I came away a little disappointed because when I read "RENN TALKS TO AN APE SCIENTIST", I thought we'd be hearing from:

Truly great stuff and a fantastic read.  To be honest i hadn't thought about how much damage Dianne Fossey would be doing to Gorrilla's buy exposing them to her germs but I suppose it's pretty obvious.

Yeah, the CDC was fun. Definitely doing more thing like this in the future.
