Tilda Swinton / John C. Reilly trailer skirts the elephant in the room.

Knowing what they are holding back, I want to say that the first half of the trailer is staggeringly misleading.  The happy piano music, the attempts at getting laughs, etc.

 

I will see this but part of me would rather see a straightforward trailer.

Just read the plot synopsis. Yeah, I didn't get that "secret" major plot point from the trailer at all. Comes across more like another "Bad seed" (albeit, beautifully shot) story here. Definitely comes across as uncomfortable though. More unsettling than dark comedy IMO.
