Chewer facebook Friends

Any Chewer I'm friends with on Facebook is because of CHUD. 

Though I have to admit, I'm not always totally sure who is who.  I'll generally accept the friendship request of anyone who has Chewer friends in common.

You jerks got me into the vicious spiral that is Facebook addiction!!!!  None of my non-Chewer friends can say the same.  Hahahahah

For the most part, everyone has generally been the way they are on CHUD.

My Facebook feed is full of Chewers and the family members who managed to track me down. As such my feed is usually cluttered with awesome musings on movies, music, and videogames and insane racist/nationalistic/homophobic rhetoric. I like to think I'm not quite as cunty on Facebook as I am here.

I have a shit tonne of chewers as facebook friends but I have a confession to make and here seems as good a place as any.

I'm horrible at matching up chewer usernames here with actual facebook friends there. With most we probably let each other know who we were when we first friended each other, but with many people I've completely forgotten since. As a consequence I feel like with some of you I may be interacting with you here and there and not realize I'm chatting with the same person. It's infuriating and embarrassing and if you're one of the unwitting chewers I'm referring to, mea culpa, I apologize.

I'm shit with names and faces in real life. Online it's a nightmare.

Friends with a ton of Chewers on FB and have made some goods friends on there (via) here.  A lot of the old guard like Dickson and Phil post a fair bit and some decent discussions are to be had.

Since I'm more of a lurker to the boards (and how I've gotten nearly 900 posts is beyond me) I've gotten to know more Chewers over on Facebook. I've chatted a bit with Michael, Phil and Jake, and I must say that they are all stand-up Gentlemen. Doesn't hurt that they're funny as hell too.

I wouldn't mind a few more chewer facebook friends....

Long as you bother to match a name with a screen name in the invite, and as long as you can deal with me having the occasional run of posts like my interminable chronicle of wading through the Planet of the Apes sequels, I'll always add a Chewer. You guys are the reason my Facebook feed is both busy, and yet lacking in the douchebaggery I hear others complain about.

Fun sidenote, though: haven't seen hide or hair from Frank Cobretti around these parts in months, but he added me on Google+. That was a pleasant surprise. As will be his inevitable headshot through my living room window.

He added me on Google+ too.  But I had absolutely no idea who he was until I looked closely at his profile pic.  Then I went:

"HIS NAME'S NOT FRANK COBRETTI?????" (no, I have not seen Cobra...)

I have an FB profile and I like the idea of yappng it up with Chewers on there but I only manage to get on there once every couple of weeks so I'd be worried that my lack of dedication to that site would be misinterpreted as a lack of dedication to my Chewers. I have The Nunz but nobody else from Chud yet.

On the plus side, while I haven't had a crack at it yet, from what I've heard the Google + seems like a much better, cleaner setup than Facebook and I plan to get all up in it within the next month or so.

hello new fb friends.

So, this doesn't really pertain to Facebook friends, but it IS about Facebook.

Is CHUD working on some way to integrate the message boards to our Facebook accounts?  Every time I post in a thread, I see a Facebook pop-up that seems like it's asking if I would like to have my post appear on my Facebook profile.  But before I can do anything about it, it disappears.

Yes, you have the ability to log into CHUD with your Facebook account. If you do so, you'll have the ability to post news items, reviews, etc. on Facebook via CHUD.

Yeah, but there's a tick-box to enable transfer between Chud and Facebook. What I'm getting is a facebook pop-up, for about half a second, like it's accessing my feed and then it posts. Being happening for me since Monday.

Have you ever put a post of yours onto Facebook itself?  I know that my CHUD login and Facebook are connected, but that specific thing seemed new.

There is a way to disable it, there is something you have to tick on here. If I remember correclty it's in the profile section.

I'm friends with a ton of chewers, and they're generally more interesting than my real friends.  Well, they have better taste in movies/music/books/etc., at any rate.  I'm always up for adding more of the fine folks from this community to my friend list, so feel free to locate me.  Here, I'll even make it easy for you.  Hopefully that takes you right to my page.

On a side note, anyone know who Blix Nix is around here?  He friended me the other day, and I have no idea who this person is, but I'm assuming he's a Chewer, considering all our mutual friends are from the boards.  Just wondering.

I've got a mildly avoidant personality, and therefore limit my Facebook friendage to family and coworkers.  Know that if I were less of a solitary type, I would friend you all, and it delights me that this Chewer Facebook friend network is a thing that exists.

Blix Nix is a non-Chewer friend of Greg David (who doesn't post around here much anymore).  It's not his real name (and I will refrain from mentioning it myself).  But it just seems like he saw how awesome we were and wanted to join in on the fun. 

Really... Facebook Chewers are awesome.  You guys are why I never get my work done.

It's kinda awesome  that, thanks to the chewer fb network, I bring up my profile and it says I share a dozen mutual friends with Werner Herzog or Michael Biehn to name just a few.

I get a little geek thrill at that.

Edgar Wright and Kane Hodder have popped up for me and I laugh. Then I'm tempted to add Edgar Wright and then I realize how pointless that would be(hey, I follow him on Twitter). I have nothing to say to Kane Hodder(sorry buddy!).

I knew 'Frank Cobretti' through other channels long before my CHUD days, but it took me years to figure out that it was him here. I don't have many FB friends via CHUD, though Phil did track me down. I'm generally pretty cautious about who I add.

Blix Nix is one of Greg David's real life friends who really enjoys talking movies so befriended all the Chewers.
