Haunted Mansion updated brings interesting tidbit about Disney movie crossover.

Poor Favs. Walking away from Marvel films that shoehorned a larger cinematic universe's continuity into his movies.....only to have the same thing start happening with his Disney flick.

I'd be quite happy to have Faverau's "problems".

I wasn't being sincere in my sympathy, Sebastian.

I love the Haunted Mansion, GDT, and Favs, but this all seems weird to me.

I think the word you're looking for is "dumb".

Seeing two talented guys like GDT and Favreau doing Di$ney films blows my mind. If someone actually was smart they'd tap GDT's monster filled mind for the DR.STRANGE movie.

Because Marvel's back catalogue is so much more respectable and amazing than Disney's.

Fixed.

I remember some movie GDT was attached to about a Victorian era murder mystery that took place in a world where humans and monsters (vampires, fairies, etc) lived alongside one another, no? I know that really wouldn't allow GDT to expand his horizons, but it sounded better than a theme park "NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM-esque" expanded universe.

A Killing On Carnival Row.

It's a Blacklist screenplay that has been in development hell for years.  Neil Jordan was/is the latest director attached to it.  I still find it hilarious that there is this actual "list" of awesome screenplays that just can't get made no matter how hard anyone tries.
