Two new Pixar films are announced...sort of!

Verbal, if you're going to steal a story and an image from Badass Digest you might want to at least credit them.

Dinos seems like a logical progression (or revisit) for animation. It's been a while since we've had cinematic animated prehistoric beasts and Dreamworks hasn't announced anything yet. Guess they felt covered with their dragons. Sounds a bit like a global Dinotopia. Looking forward to hearing more about both projects.

I can't help but picture Alex as Omar in the streets, calling out Marlo for being a punk and getting no reply. Regardless of what actually happened w/r/t the origins of the story and image (and I have no clue as to the truth), the silence here is really deafening. Is CHUD going to stand by and be accused of plagiarism and not defend itself or refute in anyway?

But, yeah, dinosaurs and Pixar. I think it goes without saying that we will love and cherish this film forever.

I know it's blasphemous, but I kinda want to see a prequel of UP, where we follow Muntz into a Lost World. But only kinda. I like it hinted at just fine.

It was most definitely taken from Badass. Here's the original article- http://www.badassdigest.com/2011/08/20/d23-expo-report-pixar-announces-two-new-original-films

The silence isn't really surprising though, is it? The whole site seems awful quiet lately.

This is an absolute disgrace (that and some of my original articles now having Nick in the by-line instead of me).

First of all, the image is not directly from BD.  Yes, it's the same image, but the actual image I used is from an image search on Google by typing in "Pixar dinosaurs"...I didn't crop it, either...I found it like that.  BD's image seems to be a more full image.  I first saw the story at IGN and AICN, really, compiling info from both, and goofed on giving them the credit....something I've never done.  Never realized it until now.  I always credit the source.  My fault is in not crediting AICN and IGN, and that's it.  Which I will now fix.

But thanks, Alex, for forgoing the private message route and making me look like an asshole.  You must really hate CHUD.

Hah, says the man who's been complaining about Nick and Renn running off and leaving him to do all the news.

(TRIPLE POST!)

Man, why's it so hard to post a damn reply on this board now?

RABBATINO MORALS

He passes up giving proper credit the way he would a common fatal auto accident!

When or where did I say anything resembling that, Alex? Besides your imagination.

That photo sources back to Pixar Talk, and has shown up on dozens of other sites (lately) since April 9th. It is also indeed the first google image result for "pixar dinosaur" and in a form different from what BAD used in that post.

So no, Michael didn't take the image from BAD that BAD itself took from some other site (also without sourcing the image) as every online site does every day.

I get that stirring gossip and creating conspiracy theories and assigning mysterious motivations are all fun things to do when there are grudges in the air, but CHUD has never had a mandate against BAD and has sourced the site many times when appropriate.

I don't understand the fuss here. Every movie website on the planet put this news up after that Expo. And the photo with the dinosaur sketches in the background has been floating around for a while. (More than a year, anyway.) Lots of hardcore Pixar fans have cited it as proof that the studio was working on a dino flick.

Come on Alex, you're better than this.

That's a lie! You take that back!
