ROCK BAND: CHEWER HELP NEEDED

Hello friends,

I need assistance. I had Rock Band on the PS2 and my beautiful wife recently bought me a shiny PS3.

Question 1. If I buy Rock Band on the PS3 will my USB instruments still work?

Question 2. If I buy The Beatles Rock Band will I still be able to download all available DLC songs or just The Beatles DLC?

Your help is appreciated dudes

1. Even if it has a USB port, the PS2 instruments aren't compatible with the PS3 by itself. You'll need an adapter for the dongle you usually plug into the PS2. Something like this.

2. The Beatles game is its own separate thing from the other RB games. The songs arent cross compatible. The only DLC available for it are the not-on-disc remainders of Abbey Road, Sgt Pepper, and Rubber Soul.

Thanks for the help.

Have you played it? Is it worth picking up? I am a fan of the series and the band, but is it just an "add on" to Rock Band?

Thanks again. Your advice on Guy has never steered me wrong before.

Funny enough, I'm doing Beatles Rock Band this week for that column. But, the nutshell version is yes, that game is brilliance. It's less an add on to Rock Band, more a playable summation of everything awesome about that band at every stage of their existence
