Haven't read the Dome (halfway through Insomnia right now), but this is the shit that continues to break my heart...

Really? I imagined Barbie being way younger than that. Although I can't really think of any actors to put in these roles.

He's the only person I pictured through the entire time I read the book.  I believe he's supposed to be in his mid-to-late thirties, which Jane is 42 and could easily pull off.  And he was a Captain in the Iraq war, so if we're to believe this is post-2012 (which was alluded to) it'd make sense to place him in that age range.  I even remember one of the characters (Rose, I think) referring to him as a slightly older guy, herself being twenty-something, I believe.

 

He just fits for me.  

 

As for Big Jim Rennie, I was picturing either John Doman (The Wire) or Clancy Brown.

Give me John Goodman for Rennie! I would take Thomas Jane as Barbie. I kept seeing Sam Trammell  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0870794/ while I was reading.
