HOW’S MY FALL LOOKIN: SEPTEMBER 2011

CONTAGION, DRIVE and WARRIOR. Sept is looking good.

And please please let ABDUCTION flop.

Contagion is damned good.

I definitely want to see Warrior now after the praise I've heard.  Drive, of course.  And 50/50.

I may be going to a screening of Moneyball tomorrow.

Warrior, Drive, Killer Elite, and Moneyball are my must-sees..............though I'll try and catch quite a few of the others if I can.

And where the fuck is All The Boys Love Mandy Lane?  The man has made two or three movies since then and it has yet to be given a US release.  Do I really have to resort to watching it on my laptop?

Still can't believe Margaret is finally being released. Thank God.

MARGARET is my most anticipated film of the month but I think DRIVE will be the best.  Just glad that MARGARET is getting released.

Margaret is like a great discovery of sorts. I fail to see how it's not the event of the month.

Also, WARRIOR is pretty much my favorite sports movie of the last fifteen years. By far.

See, this is why I like CHUD. The vast majority of people I know falsely assume I write for a "horror movie site," based on their cursory examination of the site, despite how often I try and explain that it is a site for cinefiles with a bent towards genre cinema.

Count me again as someone who is excited for Margaret. I like Lonergan a lot.

Warrior, Drive, Killer Elite, 50/50 those are the ones that peak my interest.

Never heard of Machine Gun Preacher. Interesting.

That seems like a fucking great September line-up. I just hope our fucktarded distributors manage to keep the release schedule somewhat current.

I think the big twist of Warrior has been spoiled for me by the trailer. Dammit. I urge you to avoid it if possible.

There is no big twist in "Warrior."

For what little my opinion is worth, 50/50 is indeed great. 

Granted there's still 4 months left, but I wouldn't be surprised to see JGL compete in the Best Actor category.

It looks interesting, but what he failed to mention in the article is that it is only hitting NY and LA that week.  Studio dump or not, I'm kinda surprised that it is getting only a very limited release.

Agreed. I gave it 10/10 over at GUY. Great cast, great direction. I don't think they'd have gotten a best pic nod a few years ago, but now that the field's open to 10 I'm holding hope.
