Death Valley

So I DVR'ed this and I just got around to watching. Im not quite sure how I feel about this yet. Because it's only a half hour it went by pretty quickly The violence was handled pretty well and yes it was funny but I can't say there was much character building. In some ways I wish they would pull back a bit on the comedy. Ya know make it more like the first season of Scrubs in tone. I will give it a couple more episodes due to it being a bizarre hybrid.

I felt similarly about this after watching the first episode.  Finally got around to watching the DVR'd second episode and I liked it better than the first.  Can't remember any of the character's names yet but they are starting to grow on me.  I'll continue watching.

Honestly I only watched the first 3 eps and I couldn't dig it. Just a tad too much humor. Honestly wished it would have been the Sheild but with supernatural shit.

I finished up the finale yesterday that has sat on my DVR for a while and I have to say all things considered I really like this show and want to see a second season, which I think they are going to do.

Give it a chance, it's not super deep but entertaining as hell.  There's some good humor and the makeup and gore effects are really good even though there are some crappy CG effects at times.  The characters grew on me after a while and I'm interested to see what the hell that was that attacked the vamp at the end of the season.  Looked like something out of Resident Evil 2 (the game).

The show is definitely more Reno 911 with supernatural shit than Shield with supernatural shit.

I totally dug this show, excellent mix of humor and story.  It takes a while for the overarching plot to take hold, but it does and becomes a bigger driving point as the season progresses.
