OBVIOUS (SORTA’) EXPENDABLES CASTING OCCURS - Page 2

BRAD ALLEN. Now that is someone I would like to see square off against Adkins.

It's a shame Adkins and Van Damme haven't had a decent fight scene. THE SHEPARD was ok, but too short. The crazy thing is Adkins learned his moves by literally watching and copying Van Damme movies on TV.

Anyone who wants to see Brad Allen in action should definitely check out his two fights with Jackie Chan in Gorgeous.

I would LOVE to see him go up against Adkins.

Seconded. Both of them are among my favorite Jackie Chan fights. Mostly because of the way they depend on quality rather than gimmicks.

I literally gasped when I saw Allen do that triple kick the first time.

Chris Myers's post on the first page reminded me of something - or someone...

Ha, Snake Xing. Very cool, never seen that before.

I vote for Matt Murdoch in a DAREDEVIL direct-to-vid, directed by Florentine.

I've got no problem with this.

And it makes the silly little feuds(the fight with Scott Pilgrim is and always has been dumb) chest-pumping, and pissiness towards critics and bloggers even weirder. Because even somebody who's supportive of the idea like me is apprehensive as fuck when it comes to these movies.

I... know you from somewhere....

It's weird to you because you didn't like the film. It's weird to me that everyone is still jizzing about The Dark Knight three years later, but what am I going to do? Why the heck can't I be defensive about a film I liked? What's really weird to me is that you're making these empirical statements about the film, that are your opinion, and bemoaning who are doing the same thing.

And FYI my pissiness towards bloggers stems from the fact that I can't get on the internet to read movie news anymore without getting depressed by the tone of the articles.

That would also work, although I genuinely want Adkins and Jai White as Iron Fist and Luke Cage directed by Florentine for Marvel under their lower budget titles.  No wires, just Florentine telling those two to go nuts on very brave stuntmen.  I actually think the younger filmgoers of today wouldn't be prepared for that, frankly.  Do people in their early 20's these days even know of a time when kung fu was done without wires and CGI?

Early 20's?  Yes.  Teens?  No.

Anyway, that's honestly the most perfect Heroes For Hire flick that I can imagine.

I'm financing NZ's movie in my mind as we speak.

The NZ Natural, I...Love your concept for a...Power Man and Iron Fist Film.  Who would your villain be?  Warhawk would be my pick.  He was a C.I.A. Assassin, a soldier in Vietnam with steel hard skin.  Would you also include...Misty Knight and Colleen Wing? a spin-off...The Daughters Of The Dragon with them as PI's would be...Awesome as well!

Seeing that Ray Park wanted to play Iron Fist for years, I bet he'd gladly play the villain to punch the lucky son of a bitch that took away his dream gig right in the face.

Ya know, I'd just go with The Hand as villains.  Cos let's be honest - we're never gonna get sick of watching those two take out a bunch of ninjas.  Also, you could do a variation of that rooftop battle from The New Avengers and have Luke grab a bunch and run off the rooftop, then have shots of Iron Fist continuing the fight on his own cut with shots of Cage casually taking the lift back up to rejoin him.  That would be aces.

The NZ Natural, Too bad those Legendary and...MARVELous Ninja, were...HANDled, so  badly in Elektra!  I would definitely want to see...The Hand vs Luke and Danny, regardless!

Jesus... A Power Man/Iron Fist movie with those two sounds fucking amazing.

I can see that.  Also, Diamondback as always been mentioned as the villain that they want to go head-to-head with Luke Cage whenever they get a film off the ground.  How about new Marvel staple Idris Elba for the part?

Jai White & Adkins vs. Elba & Park?  Ticket sold!

No can do.  Fox owns the rights to The Hand as part of the Daredevil/Elektra rights that they hold.

That's what we need to be reminded of while in the middle of a lovely conversation about ninjas being beaten up. The Daredevil and Elektra movies!

Thanks a lot you horrible man!

Ah, come on. Don't blame Bob. Blame those jammy bastards at Fox. ;-)

I'm all for them taking on a massive ninja clan and I'm sure there has to be a similar organization in the Marvel universe that they can use in place of The Hand.

The Hand is spoken for by Fox and well, "The Foot" is already taken by some Turtles...

The Crippled Masters?

S.D. Bob Plissken, Darkmite8, Yes, there are numerous purveyors of...Kung Fu Treachery!  Yu Ti...Iron Fist's Uncle, in the Kingdom of K'un L'un has...Hundreds of warriors that follow his lead, is one such group.  Throughout the Iron Fist comics there are several others as well!  The Kara Kai Death Cult (not a Ninja Clan, but similar enough).  Chaka a supervillain lead a gang terrorizing people in Chinatown, that would work too!  Daniel Rand also fought...Steel Serpent (Son Of Lei Kung The Thunderer) LK taught Iron Fist and the other Martial Artists in K'un L'un.  Steel Serpent believed he was...Destined to gain the power Rand has gained!

I find this casting to be brilliant. I just wish that Armande Assante were in this too.

There's always the (probably) inevitable Expendables 3.  Millennium/Nu Image and Avi Lerner view this as an on-going franchise that they can just rotate the stars out of when they don't want to participate anymore.  As long as they keep making money, we'll continue to get sequels..............with or without Stallone.
