It's Exam Day at Special Ed. Do you have a pen I can borrow?

That's so cool that the HALLOWEEN II Blu includes TERROR IN THE AISLES. I loved that as a kid.

And Jeb, your little write up of Blondie was spot on.

Another great read, guys.

Thanks a bunch, man.  Sorry it was so late. I downloaded IE 9 and it made the back of the site really touchy, and I have so much school crappo happening that it's nuts.

Jeb always kills it, and I'm having a blast reading Tony's stuff, as well.

For me...this week, there was so much stuff I wanted to draw attention to,I couldn't go off.  And there was plenty of stuff I didn't touch on because it was getting crazy. My Life as a Dog came out on Criterion Disc this week. The Count of Monte Cristo is a solid - if revisionist - adventure. And you should check out The Tenth Victim, as well - a quasi-futuro-Italo Most Dangerous Game retread The 10th Victim, starring Ursula Andress and Marcello Masrtoianni.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one swamped with goodness in this week's releases.  Stellar work, gents.

I'd forgotten about the Blu of O Brother. For a variety of boring reasons, I don't get to watch Blu's very much, so I'm pretty picky about double-dipping, but that would seem a must-have.

Camelot was hysterically bad. I never watched an entire episode, but it always seemed to be on when I'd turn on the TV while doing something else. One thing the box set can't capture, though, is the head-snapping contrast between watching an episode of Camelot on the same evening you've just seen the latest Game of Thrones.

Re: Manhunter. I love Cox, and I have no doubt that the Lecter (or however it's spelled) he gives us is pretty close to what such sociopaths are actually like. But there's that bit about art sometimes transcending the mundane, and IMHO, Hopkins' gleefully monstrous Lecter is an example of that.
