First let me say that I went to Frightvision last night, despite my first impressions as "hey this looks fruity..." I quickly changed that idea even though the kid in front of me wearing a wig and a painted face kinda was discouraging me as he was yelling "yeah frightvision rocks!." Also despite the fact that some guy was dressed up like a girl in front of me and this guy who was behind me was inching me closer and closer toward him/her...It would all change after I got out of that line. I first headed to Tom Sullivans Evil Dead Musuem, I got to talk to him for a little bit and he even signed some stuff after I coughed over some greenbacks first. Then it was to the monster makers where I bought Savinis Grande Illusion part two book and you can only guess where I headed from there. Thats right to the man himself Tom Savini! After waiting in line for 10 minutes I started to notice a trend, the kid behind me was moving up along side me almost like cutting in front of me. Tom was being swamped by this guy who wouldn't stop talking, but like a nice person I waited patiently.
I wanted to tell him so much stuff and ask him about his death island movie, I wish I could say I approached Mr. Savini and we gave each other a high five and drank a cup of tea and had some crackers, but it wasn't like that at all...it was more like this.
Tom :: Gees you've been standing in this line for awhile now can i help you?
Me :: Uh...( shit what was I gonna say? ) Yeah uh I didn't buy this from you but can you sign it anyway? ( gee I thought..that was lame. )
Tom :: Sure...what's your name.
Me :: ( Enter any name you would like here. )
Tom :: Here you go, be sure to not close the cover right away it still needs to dry.
Me :: Thanks...
I walked away and thought wow that really went well...ok who was I kindin it sucked so much. While I hung my head I missed the bald guy from the hills have eyes walking past me. Oh well i thought, I'll just go see the ladies of the Evil Dead! Yeah this is gonna be great. As I approached them I was a little more then nervouse heck I was blushing...not that you needed to know that. Anyway after coughing over a few more dollars they all signed my poster..ehh it's only a lousy stinkin couple of bucks I thought, who cares I got them to sign my evil dead poster WHO HOOO!! I found myself the rest of the night saying how cool it was to meet Tom Sullivan and the Ladies of the evil dead then it was Mr. Savini, no offense Tom.
I was real happy until I approached Linda Blair..eh 20 bucks hey..maybe uhm..some other time you know...I slowly moved my camcorder to David Carating(?) Gee I thought, he really doesn't look happy and he's looking right at me...a couple of thoughts ran through my head at first...maybe I should shut this off..then again I thought hey it's a free country..and lastly on a lame attempt to get a cheap pop I said what you want some of this, I'll kick your fruity tooty booty...ok so I didn't say it out loud cause I knew better instead I trusted my instinct and shut the camera off and walked away with my poster between my legs ( not litteraly )Anyway i Had a pretty good time I wish I would have stayed longer but I didn't...on a side note if you can't understand this, that makes two of us.
