"Soulcatcher" - straight-to-video goodness

I gotta face it, when I walk into video stores, the video boxes with the lenticular moving covers snag my interest. 'Soulcatcher' caught my eye when I saw the previews air before its debut on the Sci-Fi Channel. It looked goofy with cool demonic special FX.

I rented it...and that's what I got: goofy fun.

Not once does it take itself seriously but it's a fun ride as two bumbling thieves face off against demons, Karen Black, and nekkid chicks makin' out with each other. KNB provided the effects and be on the look out for a Debbie (ahem, Deborah) Gibson cameo .

I'll pick this one up on DVD for cheap.

I caught the first half on TV (damn VCR mangled the tape though) and I really dug it. Now that it's out for rental I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it. Any extras on that DVD?

I can't believe this one turned out to be good, if I'm thinking of the right title, is this really new? Or kinda old already? Is this the one with the purplish blue silver hologrammy demony guy on it?

God I miss finding the gems in the rental store, but alas, we only have a Cockbuster and I refuse to give them money.

I saw most of it when it aired originally on Sci Fi and liked it, even posted a thread about it that got no love. It aired the same night as 'Matthew Blackheart: Monster Smasher', one of the most horrible things I've ever seen.

Okay... To answer my own question...

Because the damn movie's not called "Soulcatcher" it's "SoulKEEPER". Jeez, and I only saw the film yesterday. I'm on the ball, aren't I?

Now I can find it everywhere on DVD.

Yep, that's the one, will have to check Best Buy for it, and I believe I've seen it there before.

I'll letcha know if I find and gets you one 'kay poopsie? Dear god, that always happens when someone brings a baby to the office...
