Yeah, that is pretty neat. For 3 minutes. It works really well in an easy-paced 25 minute comedy situation like Peep Show too.

 

But I still agree with what you said in the piece about the Afflect project - that it would be exhausting to watch for 90 minutes - especially with a bunch of fast-moving scenes like this to get through.

Really fun video, I might be up for seeing a movie like it, but I do hope that they camerawork is a little less franitc for a 90+ minute film.

I wonder how they shot this... Maybe a GoPro?

Anyway I can't hep but ask the question, is this Mirrors' Edge 2 viral marketing?

I know EA hasn't said anything about a sequel yet, but the video it just felt like a game.

There's been plenty of first person sequences old and new that give me the impression a full feature could work; from Strange Days opener to Humphrey Bogart's Dark Passage to Zemeckis' Tales from the Crypt homage to Dark Passage "POV". Not to mention contemporary found footage films have done all they can to prime viewers with films exclusively from a subjective view.

 

You combine that with Affleck's penchant for making a movie that's above average and I'm sure something good will come about.
