The Avengers are the latest superheroes to be poorly comp'd together on an EW cover!

Pre-internet (and in the mid-90s), I was a subscriber, and yeah, they frequently have terrible, terrible covers. I'd argue the HANGOVER cover in your collection isn't actually bad, but so many others of theirs are. They regularly manage to make really beautiful actors look horrible.

At first glance, the girl on the TWILIGHT cover looks closer to Jenna Haze I'd have guessed they were covering the XXX parody.

You know, I generally don't mind EW, as I have a kind of love hate relationship with the magazine, but yikes... Look at Scarlet Johanson's bizarre super huge photoshopped head on the AVENGERS cover

Creepy


PS They're really screwing the marketing up for that movie. Johanson was one of the worst parts of IM2, but MARVEL is determined to put her up top front and center as if she were the face of the franchise. I do not see that movie performing well, they need to shift the focus to money makers like IM and THOR stat

PPS My library is getting EMPIRE MAGAZINE soon, I am psyched

Good LORD that is horrible. I haven't paid attention to EW in years, I had no idea their covers had devolved that much. I love how Downey Jr's mug shotappears to be from an actual mug shot, possibly from his drinking years.

And yes, ScarJo has a bubblehead going on.

I was surprised by how bad that Bond cover was, as I was certain I'd seen some excellent Daniel Craig covers over the years. After some googling I came up with these:
