Make it Tarzan's Greatest Adventure. Showing tomorrow morning on Turner Classic Movies (my cable guide says it's 9 am for me on Pacific time, but it is showing as noon on TCM's web site). First time I've ever seen it listed on TV here in the US, and it's only available as a made to order DVR through Warner Archive.
Gritty, exciting, no bullshit late 1950s jungle adventure/western, unlike so many other Tarzan films actually shot in Africa, starring bodybuilder Gordon Scott. He was never going to be the world's greatest actor, and had done some mediocre Tarzan films before this, but he's a straight up badass here with a real dangerous presence as the jungle's superhero protector (in some ways almost a proto Rambo). Villains include the excellent Anthony Quayle and a pre Bond Sean Connery! If this sounds like your idea of a good time, I strongly suggest you watch, DVR or whatever.
