Why D vs. A will work better than C&A's, and a Dredd side-character could be coming to the screen.

Dinosaucers.

Now, a possible Rogue Trooper movie written by GM? Holy crap hell yes.

I will gladly see both.........................though I'll be shocked if Dinosaurs vs. Aliens actually gets made.

As someone who only recently has gotten into the works of 2000Ad and it's characters, I fully support the idea of a Rogue Trooper movie coming out. With any luck, this will lead to characters like Johnny Alpha and Devlin Waugh getting their cinematic due. I am eagerly awaiting Karl Urban's turn as Judge Dredd next year as well.

Rogue Trooper as a movie is the kind of thing that could be amazing in theory and terrible in execution as it could only ever work as some kind of weird Riddick/ Heavy Metal mashup that fully embraces its own camp pathos.  Besides, once John Carter of Mars bombs, no one in Hollywood will touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Good point. With that in mind, unless Danny Boyle, Neil Marshall. or Shane Meadows are behind the camera, they shouldn't even bother with a Rogue Trooper film.

While we're on the subject, a WETA produced Nemesis The Warlock film would be something to behold. Ahh, pipe dreams.

A Grant Morrison-scripted, Neil Marshall-directed Rogue Trooper movie sounds fantastic!  Someone make that happen!

All kinds of yes. And if Weta did Nemesis I'd love them to take on Slaine as well

Warp spasm craziness - I'd be all over that like a rash

Look, I love Dinosaurs, and I love Aliens, but I've been burned before. MONSTERS VS ALIENS shoulda/coulda been a no-brainer homerun. I don't remember a darn thing about that flick that wasn't in the trailer. I love cross-genre kitchen-sink flicks that tickle my geek-bone, but high concepts needs to executed just right.
